Paul Pierce, The C's, Wasted Talent

Post by Hood »

Does it bother anyone else to see a talented class act like Paul Pierce having his skills wasted in Boston as Danny Ainge brings in more and more Scalabrine and Dickau type trash to the table? Yeah, he's apparently been a bit moody at times, but the guy clearly is a classy dude, clearly leaves it all out on the floor and clearly does not have the type of support he needs to make anything real happen in the league.

One of the sadder cases of wasted talent I've seen in sometime. ( And I'd love to hear of more to the extent you guys have others to share.)

Hood, as a Celtics fan, I hear your cry.

But the "truth", is that the C's are in rebuilding mode. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm not following them closely this year, as I normally do, but I did expect them to be worse than the record they have.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pierce was traded at the ASB. He's having a GREAT season, and his stock must be very high right now so Ainge may decide to pull the trigger if he gets equal value, wich he wouldn't have if he traded him in the off-season.

BTW, there's a NBA discussion thread were we can discuss this and other NBA topics.

You'll see this board ain't excactly filled with NBA fans.

Holy sh#t, did I just police a new DSP member??

Thanks for the heads up jlp, I'll use that thread in the future. And yeah, I understand the "C's" are rebuilding, but given that such is the case, they should do the right thing and let a man that has brought almost nothing but class and heart to the franchise go chase his ring elsewhere. Surrounding him with Ainge's assclowns just isn't right.
