Still looking for a 360?

My girlfriend also held my spot with my friend while I was at work and she ended up staying the whole night. She didn't have the money to get one, or the desire, but I told her to get a ticket anyway when they pass them out and she was able to sell her spot for 150$.

I apologize in advance if this is not appropriate to post here, but I'm doing it to benefit someone that may be reading this, not myself (since I'm sure it will sell regardless). Anyway, I just listed a 360 Premium on eBay for what I think is a bit cheaper than the going rate - $575 plus actual shipping, Buy It Now only. I don't think it's appeared in the listings yet, so I thought I'd give a few minutes advance notice to anyone here that's still looking and doesn't mind paying extra:

I finally got one this morning at a Target in Norcross GA. I got there at opening and there were 2 people in front of me and they had 8 premiums.

The bad news is that I asked for Madden and NBA 2K for Christmas, so I won't have games for a few days. I may pick up Tiger Woods since it got some good reviews on this board.

You could always get the games now and return the unopened ones from Christmas. Have fun with Tiger!

yeah, walmart just sold out but circuitcity.com still has them ... as of this moment

edit: oh yeah, it will let you remove everything but the extra controller from the circuit city bundle

Ugh..

Circuit City is out of stock too.

Press the add to cart bundle and the 360 system won't appear in your shopping cart.

Target in Willoughby, OH had 16 this morning. I got there at 8:20 and picked up #3 (not for me, for my girlfriend). A guy came in behind me and got #4.

Premium system, and I got NFS, all for only $430, after saving 10% by getting a Target charge card.

I was just notified by EB that my original 360 preorder just came in. Not sure what I'm going to do since I already got a 360 on launch day. I'm gonna do some research on ebay to find out what the going rate for a premium is. Anyone around here still looking for one?

Well the Best Buy rumors were true as they had them this mornig. No lines, no campers. Imagine just strolling in, asking the guy at the door for one and going to the counter.

Well, thats what I'm going to look into later on. I'm guessing the prices on EBAY will be coming down soon.

Yeah, it will be up there later on tonight. I can't access EBAY from my work PC so I can't put it up there now. I just need to decide what the starting bid will be. Any thoughts? I'm kind of an EBAY rookie...under 10 sales to my credit.

Too bad you couldn't post it now as a one-day sale and offer Saturday FedEx delivery. I bet you'd make a killing off of some desperate parent whose spoiled brat MUST have an Xbox 360 under the tree Sunday.

That's what I would do if I had a 360 to sell today.

Exactly. I got the call here at work and I have no way of posting it until like 4:30. I guess I'll go with a one day sale and list the reserve as face value. Hopefully I can get it sold for a decent profit.

Man, that's cutting it tight with Next Day Shipping, especially if you don't require instant payment. Will you have time to get to FedEx by 6 p.m. if your auction ends at 4:30? Will your buyer pay by then?

You might want to consider a three-day or five-day auction, hoping to catch people on the rebound from Christmas who got money as a gift but didn't get a 360.

Just a thought.

Well I felt like Santa today I was able to score 3 of them, and give them to the other employees here still searching for the Xmas gift. Unfortunately that is only 4 of us out of 10, but the rest of the people aren't in a rush.

I'm glad I can stop looking and playing the morning dance. I'll just say I heard that BB will have more (small numbers) on Saturday. This rumor is not as sound as todays memo one, so take it for what it is worth.

Don't know about some of you other cats who haven't picked up a 360 yet, but the fubar'ed launch made me realize I can certainly wait on this system. There's only 2 games I'd really be itching to play (PGR3 and COD) but it's hard to justify buying it now for just those 2 games when I know there's squat coming out for MONTHS. There's just too long a dry spell for more releases I'm interested in. Might as well wait things out and pick things like PGR3 and COD up when they drop in price. Besides, like Paul, I've been going back and playing some of the oldies but goodies (was doing TOCA2 a couple of months ago offline. Currently in the midst of Rainbox Six again. Plus I've been aching to play my Dreamcast again (Test Drive Le Mans, F355, TXR, Samba de Amigo, ...).

I wasn't desperately looking for one, but I'm in the habit of checking a case when I happen to be near one. I was walking by the games at Wal-Mart and they had a couple of 360 Premiums in the case. They said they got 8 in at 2pm and there were 3 left at 2:45. I bought one, even though I was OK with waiting. It's really hard not to jump at the chance when it involves a new gadget. I haven't hooked it up yet, but I will shortly. Merry Christmas to me!

I don't think you can switch the accounts between your two boxes, but I could be wrong. I just went ahead and migrated my Xbox Live account over to my 360 and then set up a new account on my old Xbox.
