Just wondering what the faction here thinks. I have to admit I rarely miss her show.

HATE her.
Grace is a poster child for the decline of TV news, emphasizing the melodramatic and sensational over the substantive and topical, and always interjecting her emotion and bias into the story.
She sucks. A windbag with a Southern accent, nothing more.
The only broad in the TV news business more annoying than Nancy Grace is Rita Cosby. She is completely insufferable.
Take care,
PK

I've come to the point where I can see right through most of these "news" stories within the first 30 seconds. I thought news was based on reporting facts. It seems like 98% of the stuff on CNN, CSPAN, MSNBC, etc.. is editorial content disguied as news. Whatever happened to giving us facts, even if there are some from differing sides, and letting us make up our own minds? Oh yeah, we're not supposed to have a real opinion of our own based on individual thought. Just sit back and soak it in, and then reiterate what was said, because they know what is right for you.
Sorry for the rant, but I have become very frustrated with most "news" outlets lately. I want real facts, maybe a little opinion from different sidesm and let me be the judge.

I would agree with you on Rita Cosby without a doubt. That has got to be the worst voice on TV. It was kind of funny the other night as she was a witness to Tookie Williams execution. When she was at the podium afterwards for interviews one of the reporters asked who she was!!pk500 wrote:

What PK said is exactly how I feel about Nancy. Just horrible and a waste of time. I had an unfortunate night of catching her talking about the girl who was kidnapped in Aruba. Her reporting was horrible and when someone offered something else of an opinion she stopped them and started back on her own opinion.
Needless to say I can't stand her.

LOL. Some of that is probably a factor of her timeslot on the West Coast. I only hear about the news channel personalities out here because their shows are broadcast while I'm working, running or eating. It's only when I travel back East that I get a chance to see what all the fuss is about.tjung0831 wrote:I would agree with you on Rita Cosby without a doubt. That has got to be the worst voice on TV. I hear that's how Rod Stewart got his voice, too.pk500 wrote:Something tells me that voice was obtained from sucking gallons of man splooge, not cigarette smoke.matthewk wrote:How can anyone not love that husky smoker voice of hers?tjung0831 wrote:I would agree with you on Rita Cosby without a doubt. While I can't stand the TV news, I have to say that O'Reilly has been more entertaining than most sitcoms lately. His War on Christmas stuff is a comedy gold mine.

I am so repelled by her delivery that I'm unable to stick around long enough to form a distinct opinion. I just find her disturbing. Actually, in that respect she reminds me of a lot of the prosecutors whom I know personally

Well, I've never seen her whole show, but I once tjung-ed it for about two minutes and found her to be quite insufferable as well.
