It's probably ridiculous to post any impressions on a game's trailer when it won't be released for another 4 months, but here I go!

The player models, animations and overall graphic look appears to be EXACTLY the same as last year. I really don't see any difference at all. Even the hissy fits in the dugout are the same stuff from last year.

However give me the EXACT same graphics, as long as they put in a smaller strike zone, more walks by the CPU and human-controlled players, and more hit variety, and I'm sure I'll be more than happy.

I completely agree. But I'm cautiously optimistic based on what I've read so far, it sounds like this may be the year that they bring it all together. The developers are definitely aware of the strike zone complaint and supposedly have addressed it. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I loved this game last year, but they also need to do something about the rocket arms on all the fielders. I can't tell you how many extra base hits I saw turn into singles because of the arms.

But like GT said, leave all the models, animations, and commentary alone. Fix what's broken like the freeze up problems, lack of walks, and super arms and I'll be in baseball gaming heaven.

I was also glad to read they ironed out the problems causing some of our copies to freeze. I will take last years game with no freeze ups in a heartbeat.

The license they bought only exlcludes major companies, ala EA.

As for the video, it looks decent but I still see many of the same animations that are on my current version of MLB for the PSP.

Well that's night exactly the right explanation. Actually, only FIRST party developers like Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, and of course 2K games can make a baseball game. It doesn't really exclude major companies, but excludes all 3rd party developers like EA, Acclaim, Midway etc. In other words, unless you're 2K games or a console maker, you won't be making a baseball game for awhile.

This thread over at OS has some pictures of the PSP version of the game. Looks like there still aren't any umpires in the PSP version, but the colors seem to be improved.

Thanks Badgun.

That's what I was trying to say.

Some more info and pics and 6 videos over at IGN. I like the new rival mode,in a sense that you can play head to head,or an exibition series, where you work the rotation, fatigue, etc sets in. I'd love to be able to do that on Total Classics Mod for MVP 05(PC).

I'm looking forward to the game, but from the looks of it, Sony is really hoarding all of their efforts into the PS3. Everything I've seen looks exactly like last year.

As I said before, fix the gameplay quirks, and I'll be happy.
