So, where in the Xbox marketplace can I purchase a selected gamertag? I thought you had to purchase gamer card which costs around $20.

What, you want to change your tag? If so, all you got to do is go to your profile preferences (click on the center button, then on the preferences). Then you can pay to change it...it's like 10 bucks or so. 800 credits I believe...and 500 costs $6.25.

Man, I wish/hope there is a great baseball game coming out.

You and me both Diablo. Looks like 2K's game is really our only option at this point, no?

While I'm impressed with the 2k offerings of NBA and NHL, I'm not holding my breath on MLB. Hopefully, we'll see a complete overhaul.

Cross your fingers.

Sorry Scott, not my gamertag. I meant the gamer picture. I downloaded a Madden theme and it says to go to Xbox Guide, themes, and personal settings. Couldn't figure out how to get to Xbox Guide.

Hit that big glowing X in the middle of your controller. That brings up the Xbox Guide. From there you can do what you're trying to do.

Want to add unlimited mp3/movie/tv show storage to your 360? Not exactly rocket science but most probably haven't thought of it. USB sticks were already mentioned...but why not just get an external drive and an adapter. Instead of paying 75 bucks for a 1gb memory stick, you can get a 200 gig drive for that much, plus the adapter. Seems more economical to me...plus then you don't need to stream the stuff from your media center pc. Win/win.

If I could f*** my 360 without my dick blistering and peeling I think I would right now.

db,
What video format does the 360 play? Wouldn't you still need Media Center to do this?

I have no idea...I haven't messed with it.

Oh yeah...and try vaseline. Something tells me that is why people are reporting problems with their systems. Too much petroleum jelly clogging up the fan vents.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can play movie files via a USB connected storage device, only through windows media center (not media connect).

BTW, the 1GB memory stick was only $16.95 after rebate and coupon this past weekend, and you can usually get them at your normal discount online retailers for around $40.

Thanks Badgun for the answer to my question.

Another question. Which profile are you generally signed in under? Your offline or your online? Is there an advantage to either besides the online capability? Meaning, if I'm simply going to play single player on NBA 2K6, any reason to be using my online account profile?

One thing I did kinda mess up on was that while I was online playing single player of NBA2K6, I modified the sliders. So, now if I just want to play a game, I have to log on to my online account. Is there a way to transfer my sliders to my offline account? I'd just like to boot up the game offline and have it recognize my sliders.

Thanks.

Why would you have two to begin with? Do you not have a constant network connection to your 360? If you do, then why not just always use your 'online' one? The advantages are that you are always connected for a chat or a game invite and have ready access to anything online enabled in the dashboard (firends list, marketplace, leaderboards, ect...).

Spooky,

I'm not always connected, but it's more because of laziness I suppose. I moved our new tv back in to the loft so now it's just a matter of connecting the ethernet cable to the router. It's always plugged in to the 360 and then the cable wraps behind the couch out of sight. The only issue is that it then wraps around the door and plugs in to the router. Guess I just need to drill in to the wall and have the cable go in to the router that way. However, I don't have any expertise with drilling into a wall. Can't be that difficult. Then I wouldn't have a problem.

Btw, what a pain in the arse it was not having a router!

Can offline profiles be deleted?

I would guess early-mid 2007 here in the US for WE10.

http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/sports/ ... id=6129709
Winning Eleven series executive producer Shinji Enomoto appeared onstage and commented that his project for the Xbox 360 is still in a very preliminary stage, but he said the game should be coming out sometime next year. "We've just begun development, and unfortunately, we don't have a trailer to show yet. But although we've only begun the project, it's already going smoothly," said Enomoto. "It should take about one year to finish the game. We hope to release it in Japan between fall and winter of 2006."
Winning Eleven 9 will be online for the first time on current gen consoles in the US (US version arrives in Feb, Mar). I would hope they continue that trend for the 360 version.

FYI, Madden is available as a demo. 699 mb.

This is just another example why I love the XBL marketplace!

Not sure what thread to post this in and I don't think it needed a speraerate one, but I have a question...

I just got the 'Play & Charge' kit for the wireless controller and fully charged the new battery last night. Then when it indicated it was fully chraged I unhooked the cable. Now, when I turn off the console, there is a dim light still lit up on the controller where the '4 player' green light would be on the bottom right of the middle 'X' button.

The light is constant but is much dimmer than the green light in the '1 player' section if the controller was on, but I cannot figure out why it will not go off!?!?! Is it just telling me that the thing is fully charged? Anyone else with the 'play & charge kit' experience this? It's not a big deal, but I just want to make sure that it is not draining the battery or something weird.

It probably is draining the battery. Mine doesn't do that after I charge it. Might want to just unclip the battery and re-seat it in the controller.

Spooky,

Mine will do that every now and then also. I haven't noticed any excessive draining of the battery yet because of it. I'm not sure what causes it, but both of my controllers are still on their initial charge and holding strong. I wouldn't worry about it, at least that is what I am doing. :D
