OT: Deals thread

Post by pk500 »

Boys:

Since it's the holidays, I thought it would be a good idea to post about any online or brick-and-mortar deals you find on games or electronics. Keeping it in one thread will keep BD and DB's blood pressure below the Gross National Product of the Ivory Coast. :)

WalMart.com is selling Halo 2 for $17.82. A very good deal for the 19 people in the world who don't have this game yet still want it.

Take care,
PK

Here are two links that are favorites of mine for holiday deals.

http://www.slickdeals.net/
http://www.techbargains.com/

I am sure a lot of us are already familiar with these. If not, take a look at these daily, as you can find some real gems.

Seems like a good idea to antagonize...that ends well usually. Why mention me?

Fry's has a 1 GB Pro Duo memory stick that's $69.99 in store with a $20 rebate. $50 for a 1 GB Pro Duo is a pretty damn good deal.

Yeah but is anyone still loading a lot of media on their PSP?:p

Anyways, wasn't there a bundle with the PSP and a 1 GB MS Duo for $300?

Now, now, now: Did you not notice the smiley? Did you also not notice that you are among the kings of dishing sarcasm at DSP? Plus you and BD are the J. Edgar Hoover and Elliot Ness of thread policing around these parts. The law-and-order men!

Those above truths shouldn't rankle you. Tsk, tsk.

Back to the deals!

Take care,
PK

I can't help but snicker -- the irony kills me.

Any more deals, anyone? I do like dealrush.com and cheapassgamer.com for video game deals. Both are really good sites.

Take care,

There is no irony...you guys wanted a more blissful forum, so I haven't said sh*t...and yet you still think it's necessary to crack on BD and I. The irony is on you seeing as how YOU were one of the vocal ones clammoring for less of me.

DB,

Come on...don't get sensitive about this. PK didn't mean it in any way to attack you....if anything, he's respecting the desire to keep things organized here. PK's comments were innocuous, and nothing to get worked up about.

Also, I don't think anyone was clamoring for less of you...most of us love having you as part of the forum. I think people were clamoring for less sarcasm in thread police type posts. I (and others) appreciate your contributions here, both in content and in keeping threads in line.

Jared:

We're cool. We had a major b*tch fight via PM, almost like fat chicks wrestling in mud, but all is cool. :)

Seriously, we took this out of the forum and into PMs, where it belongs, and everything is cool after two or three very civil PMs.

Thanks,
PK

Ben's Bargains is a worthwhile view if only for the comments threads. Occasional hilarity about DRAM, whoda thunk it.

www.pricewatch.com Is a pretty good site for deals. It looks for cheap prices on various electronics and directs you to the appropriate vendor.
