I love her. I really do. Any chance she has a twin with the same temperment or that you are willing to share her?
No, no...My wife is wonderful. Not spend $750, set up my system AND cook me dinner so that I could game contently wonderful, but wonderful nonetheless.

Seriously guys, I still cannot get my iPod to play anything that is AAC format. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice if it worked.
Sport73,
Are your songs in your iPod AAC format??? I also tried my fiance's sons Nano and had the same issue. All the songs show up in the list but when you go to play them, I get a red circle with a slash in it symbol. The only songs that it could play were the few MP3 files I have on there.
Any ideas???
Other than that, I have been SO imressed with the system. One thing I cannot believe anyone has not mentioned yet is the chat system. Holy sh*t! You can chat with anyone at any time no matter what game they are playing! For example, one of the people on my friends list invited me to chat while I was in the middle of a PDZ multiplayer game. I go to the dashboard menu and accept the chat and begin chatting with them while I am still playing. He then boots up his PDZ and starts creating a co-op game while we are chatting and then invites me in to play that. Too cool. It appears that you have 4 channles of voice to choose from and can go back and fourth from the multipler game voice channel to any private chats through the menu. So two people can be playing totally seperate games online (or not as long as they are just connected) and chat together. I was impressed.

Well, I've seen it mentioned a handful of times around here. Of course, I am scouring the 360 threads in envious vicariousness. C'mon Mr. EB Spooky, hook a buddy up! Don't you guys have secret stashes in the back room for 'sprcial' customers?
Question. Where is this button you have to switch for HDTV? Over at OS, they say it's on the component cables? Is that true? Last night, I all I changed was the resolution to 1080 on the dashboard.

Zepp, my man, I would if I could. Honest. However, we got shorted even more than other stores in our inital shipment. We got 12 systems total (10 premium, 2 core) and were suppsed to get 22. I was actually the only employee at our store to get one and I pre-ordered mine within the first few weeks we were able to. I was like 7th or 8th on the list. Hell, I didn't even get mine early which I fully expected I would. I had to be there at midnight with all of the 'regular' people!
I didn't pay attention to the songs etc. that did/didn't play, but as I recall you're right: AAC songs won't play.
Zep, I posted in another thread that all of us DSP'rs should work together to get systems to those not fortunate enough to find one. If I should uncover one any time soon, I will sell it to you at retail cost (no profit); just pay shipping. Hopefully others will do the same...
What's the point of a good community forum if we can't/won't work together to help eachother out.

It's actually on the cables, at the base where they plug into the system itself.
Believe me, switch that to HDTV and if you think you were amazed by graphics now, just wait until you fire this bad boy back up after making the switch.

Anyone notice how warm the room gets when playing the 360? My bedroom heated up quickly after just an hour with Madden. I had to turn the fan on in the room.
I'm reading about defects over at gamefaqs. Hope none of us experience any.

Thats what im talkin' about . Does she have a sister, i could swoon her with my English Accsent.
I am having some problems right now. Have been actually but right now it seems to be minor compared to what others are having.
Seems that when I change games and sometimes when I first turn console on it goes to a Xbox screen then displays a message that says "To play this game please put it in an Xbox 360"
Seems others are having this problem as well on certain forums. I can fix it by ejecting a few times and resetting console. The damn thing thinks its a DVD. When I go into my dashboard instead of it saying "play game" at the bottom (where you can go to open tray and stuff) it says PLAY DVD.
Dang it man! I can still play but this sucks. Its a real pain. So if any of you are on my friends list and see me connect and re-connect a bunch of times in a row then I have this error and I am trying to correct it! AHHHHHHHHHH
MS told me to take the games back and exchange them (madden and pdz seem to do it more so then CoD) I am going to give it a little longer and who knows, it may work itself out???

Seminole, I'm having the same problem with Madden. Sometimes when it finally does boot I'll get a Disc Read Error and the game will crash. It hasn't happened with NBA 2k6 or COD2 so I'm exchanging Madden after work today. That's why I wasn't able to hook up and play Madden with you yesterday.

Well, I figured out the iPod/AAC file problem/solution. Last night I stumbled across the AAC file patch that enables these files to be recognized off your iPod. The patch is in the downloads area of the marketplace. Just go through the list alphbetically and it's there. Can't remember exactly what it is called but it's in there!

I did not pick up the "play and charge" pack because I figured I could just use my own rechargeables. According to the manual, however, this is not recommended.
REDMOND, Washington (AP) -- Microsoft Corp. said Wednesday it had received isolated reports of technical problems with its popular new Xbox 360 videogame system.
...
"It's a few reports of consoles here and there not working properly," said Molly O'Donnell, a spokeswoman for Microsoft's Xbox division.
"It's what you would expect with a consumer electronics instrument of this complexity .... par for the course."
...
O'Donnell urged anyone with Xbox problems to call 1-800-4myXbox or go to www.xbox.com. If the problems can't be resolved immediately, Microsoft said it will pay to ship the console overnight to a repair center, overnight it back once it's fixed, or ship a replacement.
That's a pretty decent policy for taking care of the defective 360s out there. Better than saying: "We'll ship you a replacement" and that's it, because who knows when that's going to be.
Speaking of patches on Xbox live, I have been reading with interest about the VGA adapter and it appears that there is a patch that fixes a problem. Without the patch you can't use the 1280/1024 option.
Another thing I read was that for some resolutions - like the one above - the games can scale from 16/9 to 4/3, but some games were not programmed to handle this and look like crap - stretched. Of course, you always have the option to use only part of the screen and go with 16/9.
Maybe at some point before next summer, I can try it out for myself!

Spooky,
Any chance you can remember where this file is located? I just went through the entire marketplace category by category and never saw it.

Bad,
I was just scrolling around the marketplace and I think I saw the file he was talking about. Go to Game Downloads/All Games/List by Alphabetical Order. Scroll down and you should see a free file called Optional Ipod Support.
