Any DS owners pick up Mario Kart?

There doesn't seem to be much of a Nintendo DS following around here, but I wanted to see if anyone had picked up the new Mario Kart. The game is getting great reviews and I've always enjoyed playing the MK games as a change of pace from my usual sims.

The online sounds limited, but still fun. Have to say, with games like this and some other recent releases, the DS is becoming an intriguing possibility for my Christmas list!

On the Xmas list. The DS hasn't had many decent racers.

With the recent flood of quality PSP titles my DS has been collecting dust except for the occasional Nintendogs session with my daughter. With the 360 out next week I'm holding off on any games not for it.

I'd be curious to find out more about the online interface/capabilities of Mario Kart. I've also never really played any of the Mario Kart games so I'm not sure if they're for me or not. Please post impressions if anyone has them.

I have it and I love it! I am even thinking about putting off the purchase of the Xbox 360 until later down the road. The online play is terrific, no lag whatsoever. I have played about 5 hours online so far. The online is limited, but great fun none the less. I am disappointed that battle mode did not make it online though. Controls are great, graphics are very nice, and online play is seamless. This is a must buy for any DS owner.

It is great just like every other Mariokart title. The online works pretty well once you get it set up. My only complaint thus far is that my fingers get tired from having to constantly press the A button.
