New Madden 360 Gameplay videos

God Bless Tivo, or else I wouldn't have been able to get this down verbatim.

To set it up, tonight's Hannity and Colmes (sp?) starts off with a clip of Bush criticizing his critics about going to war. After the video of Dubya, Hannity starts with the classic line (to some Democrat):

"Bob, I've got to tell you something, I'm sick of your party, I'm sick of their undermining a President, while we're at war, while troops are in harms way, I'm sick of their lies, I'm sick of the fact that I have a quote of them saying the same thing that the President said leading up to the war, what this once great party of yours [the Democrats] has become is disgraceful, by saying these lies while we're at war. You ought to be ashamed of them, and you ought to condemn them and lead the way."

In other words, like I was saying, "Shut up, sit down, keep your mouth shut, don't question us again, and be glad to take another heaping pile of this s*** we're giving you. f***in moron." That last part is just my interpretation, as always.

f***in Hannity. What a clown.

I didn't TIVO H&C, it just happened to be on and I was able to pause/rewind to be sure I got his diatribe exactly right. C'mon man.

Hate to bring Sully (good guy) into this, but here's a post of his over at OS after seeing the new IGN videos:

"Hmm...3rd video, that's a helluva throw by Manning, 50 yards down the sideline, right on the money, off of his back foot!"

So its not just us anti-EA nutcases who have problems with what we see. If you guys don't like glaring problems being pointed out to you, in this case by an OS Mod, then I don't have any sympathy for you at all.

You can nit pick away at a game all day long. And a launch game will no doubt have more nits to pick away at than the third or fourth iteration of a game.

Look NFL2K series had a lot of unrealistic results too. I was racking up double-digit sacks with no-name DTs just by using the fan out line stunt. Or I could generate a very productive passing game in 2K5 with the 49ers.

Meanwhile, for maybe the first time, if you used the 49ers in Madden 2006, you were in for a world of hurt trying to generate offense because of poor passing accuracy. Not because of the vision cone but because the Precision passing didn't work with erratic QBs like Smith. Also, probably the poor 49er WRs, none of them rated in the 90s in speed, meant little separation so you couldn't lead them away from the defenders with any accuracy.

Maybe you guys are right. But why is everyone here so defensive about Madden? Every new batch of videos that is released has GLARING flaws that are being pointed out everywhere. Here, it's the #1 most wanted game, it seems, and no one wants to read anything negative about it.
No referees or chain gang on the field? Who cares, it's just the first game. Still have Mario Running, no gang tackling, a curious (to say the least) presentation style, unrealistic bombs off a qb's back foot? Don't worry, be happy.

I'm not sure I've ever seen that happen with any other game on this board, and I'm just wondering what gives. Sure, I could expect that out of Boom and Dan, 2 of the biggest Madden lovers around, but I'm a little surprised about most everyone else.

For guys that critique the hell out of the newest FPS or what have you, it just doesn't make any sense to me. I'm out.

Wish you could see the point I was trying to make. That's what is disappointing to me. I'm definitely not going to lose any sleep over it, though.

As someone else pointed out, it's obvious in the videos that IGN was probably playing on rookie level, which is a lot more forgiving on stuff like throwing off your back foot. Look at the Tiki Barber run...no one finds a hole that big on All Pro or All Madden.

I look at it this way...those of us that plan on buying the game probably aren't going to be swayed by someone pointing out flaws in a video. Those that aren't planning on buying it are constantly looking for ways to feel better about their decision. I've read enough and seen enough to know that the game is enough of an upgrade for me to warrant a purchase.

Go back and look at some of the pre-release videos for NHL2k6. They were pretty bad IMO, but yet that game is fantastic. It was obvious that the game was being played on a lower skill level without sim sliders.

Not sure how many of you are familiar with 1up.com, but they have a show called The 1up Show. I just watched it and even though there's not a whole lot of new information, you see a couple of guys that have actually played the game talking about their experience and what they think. Of all the stuff I've seen about Madden, this guy seems to capture my feelings the most. It's a pretty good video. The whole thing lasts about 15 minutes, but you can stop watching after the first 6 unless you want to hear about Mario Kart DS.

Nope I just PM'ed Steve to to see how his family was doing a few weeks ago. It is handy to have a screen name to get downloadable content but I don't read the forum and prefer not logging in there. Had my share of that to fill a lifetime. i was kidding Boom about not having an OS account, I just wanted a direct link to avoid the pop-ups.

This is so effin funny, I think in my first post in this thread I said I was not impressed with the videos, have you lost you mind so much that you just make s*** up.

Is it popssible that you're just upset that your act of being unbiased is finally up, as it is quite clear you had an agenda the whole time. If I'm a madden lover, you must be stroking one 3 times daily to the 2K5 cover.

I could be mistaken, but I seem to remember a post of yours in another thread where you were calling for all of the negative naysayers from OS to be banned here. I was just making a point, I don't want all OS users banned. My point is simply this, you don't play the game, you don't like the game...I get it.

Can you voice things about Madden you think are wrong, sure you can. Doing it over and over and over, is kind of annoying but I can still kind of live with that. But when you the take digs at people like Scoop who do like the game, and by my count you have done it 3 times to him, then you have gone from someone I will read, to just another effin jackass.

Honestly, I would have bought 2K's game this year if there was one, just like I bought Tom Landry Football, Mike Ditka Football, Grid Iron and every other God Damm football game ever made.

Am I impress with Madden 360, well I think it looks good sometime and others it doesn't. So right now that response would be no. Will I buy it because it is a football game, yes. If that makes me a mindless sheep so be it, then I am a sheep of RPG's, itunes and Days of Wonder board games as well.
