Actually, Oswalt is on his game tonight. We'll have to come back once again or it's Houston vs Chicago.ScoopBrady wrote:You Cardinals fans are acting as they've already won the series. It's still 3-2 in favor of the Astros if I'm not mistaken.

Chill boys. In the end, it's just a game. Amazing how many of you guys get so riled up over a sporting event. You'd think someone just set fire to your home. LOL.
A game boys...a game. If the Astros win, they win. Life will go on here in St. Louis.
Yeah, but it's so much fun bitching back and forth on an internet forum.sportdan30 wrote:I love ya still Db.dbdynsty25 wrote:I'm with ya...f*ck the Cardinals. HAHAHAHA!! Just watched it again and again.. Nice catch, I had a 3yd old wanting tea. What a joke. "Hey, did you tag him or did I just f*ck up?" What do you think Everett said?

Yeah... you keep telling yourself that.Jayhawker wrote: Like it or not, even if the Astros win this, it will still be talked about in the contest of overcoming that blow by Pujols.
Who gave it up, the timing, and the spectacular fashion in which it went out has made it a moment that will be replayed for decades. Had it not happened, only Houston and Cardinal fans would remember Berkman's shot.
Looks like in a couple of innings, Pujols HR will just be remembered for posponing the Cards elimination for another 48hrs.
It didn't win a series nor start a series turnaround. So, I'll be just another playoff highlight, nothing more, nothing less.
I always remember it, and that's all that matters to me.jLp vAkEr0 wrote:Yeah... you keep telling yourself that.Jayhawker wrote: Like it or not, even if the Astros win this, it will still be talked about in the contest of overcoming that blow by Pujols.

Reminding a dumbass cardinal fan that it's a 7 GAME SERIES, THAT 2 WINS DON'T MEAN s***, THAT IT'S NOT 1985 ANYMORE, THAT THEY PLAY BEST 4 OUT OF 7, THAT HE CAN TAKE HIS 105 GAMES AND SHOVE IT UP HIS ASS!!!!: PRICELESS!!!!

Look forward to Cards/Astros part III next year.
On to the World Series!
I just like to gloat against the gloaters. It'll be a great series, perfect for the baseball purist. Both teams have great pitching and defense. I hope we have enough to win it and not be happy just to get there.
Oh as for the Cards/Astros III next year, forget about it. We just killed off the Cardinals for this generation. The Astros will be the best team in the NL for the next 3 years.

I could remind a few people of some of their previous comments about the Astros, but I am too happy for the organization, the city of Houston, and the players who overcame a horrible start to get to the big show.
I have nothing but respect and admiration for the St. Louis Cardinals organization and their fans. The Cardinals players are class acts and represent what is right about Baseball.
Finally after 24 years of being an Astros fan, I can finally celebrate a World Series. Wow, what an unusual feeling after all the years of failures and missed opportunities.
Congrats to the White Sox fans. It should be a fun series!

Unless I'm missing something, they'll be fine next year. Rolen will be back, right? Losing Walker won't be that big of a deal.HouOilers wrote:catskinsox wrote:Not here to gloat. Cards have a great team, but I'm just very.. very happy for the Astros. Biggio and Bagwell especially.

I do love the fact the Astros will have Beltran money to spend this offseason. Either a 1st baseman if Bagwell can't return, or an outfielder if he can.
