FIFA 06: So, how exactly do you unlock stuff?

Challenge one, zone one says that if you play a 4+ star team from zone one (The British Isles) with any 1 star team, you get x amount of points and you complete the challenge. I did just that: played Everton (4.5 stars) with a French 2nd division team whose name escapes me right now (1 star) and won 1-0 on Semi-Pro difficulty. Nothing happened.
Am I missing something here?

I think you needed to play witha 1 star british team to unlock the points.

There are no one star british teams, that's the problem.
