I got up this morning and grabbed the paper only to find out that because of b.s. contract obligations, Atlanta is stuck with some crappy ACC matchup and we won't get the Red River Shootout. That's just peachy.

I can only hang my head in shame at Syracuse. What a disgrace. This might be the worst Division I-A offense I've seen out of a team other than Temple or Buffalo in a very, very long time.

Hard to blame new coach Robinson. He's working with what he has, which is nothing. Patterson and Fields are Division I-AA quarterbacks at best, and the wide receiver corps is the worst I've seen at Syracuse since I first put my ass in a seat at the old Archbold Stadium in 1975. The offensive line is brutal, too.

With SU at 1-4 and comatose on offense, a 2-9 season is a real possibility.

Counting the days to hoops season up here ... :)

Take care,
PK

PK, if you could give UConn just a little bit of credit, that'd be great too. Just messin' with ya, bro.

Edsall has built an excellent program at UConn. Shame Syracuse couldn't have lured him back, this time as head coach, but I can understand why he'd want to stay in Storrs.

Someday, though, Randy Edsall is going to be the head coach of a top-10 program in the U.S. Not sure if it will happen at UConn, but if Edsall isn't one of the top young coaches in college football, then I'm not sure who is.

UConn has gone from Division I-AA to winning a bowl game in five years. That's pretty amazing.

Take care,
PK

Jack:

You're not getting Michigan-Minnesota down there? Come to Syracuse and mend at the VA here -- we get nearly every Michigan game as our regional telecast because so many locals want to watch Hart!

Hope all is well, brother.

Thanks PK. Maybe they can land more like Hart from up there.

I am watching Northwestern try to upset Wisconsin.

My other game choices here are:

Va Tech vs Marshall
Florida vs Miss St
BC vs UVA
Kansas vs K-State
Army vs C Michigan (A sellout when they need to start building an ark. )
W Carolina vs Georgia Southern
Wake vs Fla St.
Delaware vs Hofstra

Can you tell I am bored out of my mind??

Why isn't the NHL playing games this afternoon?

Well it looks that way now if OU keeps up this type of offense. Although that invisible pass interfernece call helped pull Texas out of trouble. Not that OU would know what to do with the ball had the pick not been overturned.

I am sure you are preparing my avatar as we watch. ;)

 , we still have a second half to play.

Although unless they slip Jason White into Bomar's uniform during halftime the OU offense is going to continue their troubles in the second half. It doesn't help either that Adrian can't go for more than one play at a time.

How bout them Wildcats? A defensive lapse against Penn State on a 4th and long a couple of weeks ago is more costly now. They ended up losing that game and would be 4-1 if they had held on. Still, I didn't think they would beat the only team in the Big Ten who has looked consistently good all season.

Great win for the BC, they are proving only VT and FSU are superior in the ACC. I don't understand the comments of it being a boring game with VA, it got mighty interesting when Blake had that cheapshot on the injured Kiwanuka. It's just hard to beat a team with as good defense as BC.

Michigan, well their offense is pathetic, what can you say.

Before Longhorn fans get those National Championship tickets they might want to flip over to TBS to see the asswhooping Tech is giving Nebraska in Lincoln. 21-0 early in the 2nd qtr...

Edit: I jinked em and Nebraska closed it to 21-14 at the half. :D

Nice try, Parker. Enjoy your short stay at DSP. You'll be banned within 48 hours.

It's funny how you think we're so stupid that we won't recognize it's you, especially when you're the one looking pathetic every time you crawl back here with some lame new nickname.

So here it is, boys, the official deodorant of DSP to use every time Parker limps back in here with his usual stench:

Image

And much like the way Ban rolls on, it's very clear who you are, fool.

Take care,
PK

I was at the BC game and It was a big freakign yawn until Kiwi and Washington got tossed from BC. They really woke up the crowd and the BC offense.

Gutless UVA team which ran off the field without shaking hands with Boston College. Way to respect your opponent.
