Just hope they didn't spend all their run production for the series today. The Yankees seemed to have done that in game 3 of the ALCS last year.ScoopBrady wrote:12-2 White Sox in the eighth! Even Pods is getting in on the Homerun Brigade. I sure hope they don't score all their runs today. Go Sox!

Uhh...he got the first two hitters in both innings, yet allowed 5 hits now with 2 outs to allow all 4 runs to score. That's an issue with Colon not finishing innings. He looks impossible to hit until he gets to two outs and then for some reason goes to sh*t.10spro wrote:And the Yanks are already 4-0 in the 3rd, although I think it's more because of their hitters than Colon screwing up.

Goodbye Padres...Peavy done for the year in a celebration accident. Nothing like ending your season celebrating the division title and trying to pitch and aggrevating it more.

F*ck curses. Damn, I hoped that sh*t was played out after they won last year. Graffanino made an error, it happens. Clement pitched like crap yesterday, no curse there.10spro wrote:Not looking good for the Redsox, the curse maybe back.
Go National League, I can't stand any of these AL teams.

Remember Sox were down 3-0 to the Yanks and 2-0 the year before to the A's. Same old stuff...It is hockey season here...I could care less. The Red Sox have started to wear thin on me in the last few months. Maybe it is just baseball.10spro wrote:Not looking good for the Redsox, the curse maybe back.

So why are you posting in a baseball thread?Zlax45 wrote:Remember Sox were down 3-0 to the Yanks and 2-0 the year before to the A's. Same old stuff...It is hockey season here...I could care less. because I can...Just odd how I am not following the Red Sox since they won the title last year. Seems like I have become complacent since winning.dbdynsty25 wrote:So why are you posting in a baseball thread?Zlax45 wrote:Remember Sox were down 3-0 to the Yanks and 2-0 the year before to the A's. Less than five hours until game time and I'm getting that excited nervousness feeling about today's game. The key is for Mulder to establish the ground ball early. Keep the ball down. If he can get through the first couple innings unscathed, I'm confident our offense will come through again.
This is a huge game. The Padres will be quite happy with a split going back to San Diego. That's most likely what they were hoping for to begin with. Going back to San Diego tied at one with Matt Morris pitching game three does not give me much confidence.
Gonna be a balmy 60 something degrees at game time. Now, that's playoff baseball temperature!

If they played someone other than the barly .500 Padres it might be a little different too. If it was them against the Mets/Marlins/Phillies, you'd be watching in Prime Time. That's why I'm kinda glad the Astros got in instead...that way I at least get to watch the Braves lose.sportdan30 wrote:Cards always get screwed when it comes to the first round of the playoffs being a small market.
