WE Fans: Must Downloads

Post by JRod »

For WE and PK "who know can referred to tech savvy" there's some great downloads for WE.

You might need to convert option files and there are programs for those although i dont' have the links.

For EPL fans, try Watson's or DJSaunders Option files. Watson's has updated players, teams, and formations. DJSaunders has EPL, Coke Champ, Div 1 and SPL. I don't know if Watson's files have Football manager stats imported into them, but I do know DJSaunder's file does.

You can pick both of these up at www.pesfan.com

I prefer DJSaunders for some reason, I find his option files increase difficulty because of the ratings changes. But he doesn't have one with all the major Euro leauges.

Also just to show you how great a sim WE is, I have been playing with an old EPL option file from DjSaunders. I usually play a league with Newcastle. With only Shearer up front, I could not score a goal. Move to the new option files with Owen, and god grief charlie brown does the game really open up. Not too mention Emre, Luque are pretty good to have as support.

Have fun. Back to the old favorite.

Agreed, John. I'm using Watson's, which are extraordinary. As good as it is to have Owen up front, Emre, Luque and Solano really elevate the Newcastle midfield.

Let's hope reality mirrors virtual reality! :)

P.S.: Using the PES Editor to convert the option file into a WE8:I file is easy. I've only had AR for a few days, and I could figure it out, so you AR vets should have no trouble.

Take care,
PK

Here are some must downloads if you want to see some outstanding WE goals. You'll need broadband to download these compilations, but if you do have it, they're really worth getting.

I got it about a month ago, before the owen trade, and traded him on myself, and I wholeheartedly agree, newcastle is much more fun to play with. I don't even care for them. sweet midfield with parker and emre.

strange though, I was looking forward to playing with arsenal as well with the vieira-less midfield, using hleb, but his stats mysteriously turned to crap. I used hleb before I got the new file, and he was quite good.

Can someone who's familiar with the game explain how replacing the option file will affect current Master Leagues? I replaced my option file a few months ago and one thing I definitely noticed is that some players names were changed even within the ML to reflect minor name changes in the new option file (e.g. "P.B. Diop" was now displayed as "Bouba Diop"). However, other things, such as uniforms and obviously game plans/formations, seemed to stay separate (while teams had their edited uniforms for exhibition games, the ML teams kept the ones they had when I created the league... I think :-))

I would like to replace my option file again, but would like to understand a litte better what that will do, particularly with respect to the Master League. In other words, which aspects of the game are part of the option file, and which are stored separately as part of the ML file? I've been playing the game for a while now, but have not figured this out yet.
