PSP Load times

Post by jLp vAkEr0 »

Well, after playing almost a week with Midnight Club, i'm about to sell it.

The loading times are plain awfull. At 1st it didn't bother me, but I can't take it anymore.

Now, this got me thinking, will this be a problem with all the graphics heavy games?

Burnout Legends comes out in less than a month and it's a must buy for me.

But all my love for the Burnout franchise won't hide that fact that if the load times are ridiculous I wont put up with it.

Has Sony expressed anything about better load times in the future?

I have not played MC for the PSP but heard it was a mess as far as the load times. Like any other system I think first gen games will have a rough time and things will get better. A big test will come when the next TW is released. The TW team will be on their second go around and the load times will tell a lot for the future of the PSP and loading

HSG is one of the most beautiful games on the PSP and its load times are quick.

EA games though have had their issues.

HSG is not in real time, which has to really help.

I'd be happy if the load times were cut in half.

Load times are a non issue to me or my son, why?

Because it simply became an MP3 / Movie / Emulation station for us.

We have a few Gig cards and what not, and we have a ton of old school games / songs / movies/TV shows loaded on them.

But on the plus side if you do not have a version that can use Brew. We have a second one that has ver 2.0 for web browsing, and playing modern games (none of which I think are great as of yet, waiting on GTA).
