From the NHL 2006 Fact Sheet:
Something which has basically been included in every hockey game since the beginning of time, or 16-bit. Seeing this in action will be an entirely different thing than hypey text.
This is definitely scary as pretty much any deke mechanism found in any hockey game is fraught with collision detection and realistic animation problems. NHL 2K5 has a good thing going with the goalie deke where you do a deke and release the puck in one motion and it was pretty intuitive. Once again, there was major collision detection problems.All-New EA SPORTS Skill Stick: Deke, shoot, and score like never before with NHL 06. With a tap of the right analog stick, pick your spot and execute brilliant signature shots while controlling the location of each shot with the new in-net targets. Unleash an arsenal of moves as you take complete control of every scoring opportunity.
I don't like the word physics being preceded by any company name or gimmicky term as ultimately there is only one kind of physics that exists on planet Earth. I do like the idea that hard shots can injure and disturb players' actions though, which has basically been missing since the 16-bit hockey games and NHL Hitz. Net physics are also fun and are something that has been missing from the 2K series for far too long and have been often suggested by gamers in interviews and message boards.EA SPORTS R.P.M. Physics: New Realistic Puck Momentum (R.P.M.) means the puck is dangerous-hard shots can injure defensemen, shake up goalies in the crease, ripple the twine, or knock water bottles off the net tadd insult tinjury.
Classic Deking Control: Movement on the ice is more intuitive than ever as you skate and deke using the left analog stick to move past opponents and make goalies bite and perform all-new incredible desperation saves.

I would be mightily impressed if a developer tackled the task of real skating and just how difficult it is to perform on skates but I just don't have the faith in EA to do it. This aspect of hockey gaming has been sorely missed and if present would do much to a realistic portrayal of a hockey game. Ice trails = teh pointless wow.All-New Momentum Skating: Feel what it's like to skate on an icy surface. Player speed and size now has an effect on momentum and turning radius. During speed burst players push the puck ahead to break past opponents, while stopping and turning creates real-time ice trails.

Not sure what game you are referring to, but I have seen press releases stating that TW 360 will be 4 player MP....Rob81Lakes wrote:And still no support for more than 1 on 1 online. That just sucks really bad.
