Yeah, the guy's wit and attitude are what make the show. Put another character in the House's place and you have another boring medical show.

But I do think it is definitely the best new show on tv.

I never heard of the show "House" either until it came up during a discussion at lunch today.

Ahhh..okay...I have seen the promo's for House then, just did not make the connection. Thanks for clearing that up.

Just an FYI...here are some HUGE shows that I have never seen one episode of:

1. 24
2. The Sopranos
3. Six Feet Under
4. American Idol
5. Lost
6. Any CSI
7. Survivor
8. The Apprentice
9. Desperate Housewives
10. West Wing

So I guess I am in a similar boat as PK.

Oh, add "Survivor" and "The Apprentice" to my list of shows I've never seen once. I've also never had HBO, so I've seen zero episodes of any popular series on that network, either.

Take care,

Pk,

No wonder you haven't bothered to catch any of the shows mentioned by others. You were probably too ill after watching JOE MILLIONAIRE more than once. Blech!

By the way, is Martha Stewart taking over for Donald Trump next season on the Apprentice? Please tell me that can't be true.

No NBC is running two version of this show. Donald has one and so does Martha.

I cant miss The Shield. Its my favorite and Im surprised so few in here watch it. I enjoy Scrubs each week too. Scrubs is one show that can get me to laugh out loud.

I also try to watch PTI (Pardon the Interruption), Around the Horn and Rome is Burning on ESPN. I also watch Sports Center on a semi regular basis.

Seconds from Disaster is a good show. I also watch a little of the Bachlor with my wife.

Oh, I used to watch Law and Order and SVU on a regular basis but I havent followed either in a while.

ps- once I purchased TIVO I cant stand watching live TV.

The shows that the wife and I make an effort to watch:

Gray's Anatomy
24
Amazing Race
Judging Amy
Alias
ER

That's about it. We catch American Dreams when we can (wife loves it), but those are the only ones that we make an effort to watch.

I put either Home and Garden Network or ESPN on for background noise. On occasion, I will watch 'The Gilmore Girls' with my wife, but I don't watch any network shows. Never saw any of the reality shows or CSI or 24 or any of the big shows.

When I started gaming and using the internet, something had to go. Since I wasn't much of a TV watcher anyway, it was TV. I am much more of a reader anyway.

Obviously Braves/Suns/Dolphins/Hurricanes and Coyotes (when there is hockey) will have the priority.

Other than that...the CSI's, House, Grey's Anatomy, the OC and Las Vegas are about all I'll watch on a semi-consistent basis. The one show that I will not miss...Malcolm In The Middle. It was just moved to Fridays next year...that is not a good sign.
I used to love Malcolm in the Middle, but something happened...the kids got older. Malcolm was a lot more funny as a 13 year old than he is now as was Dewey. I can still chuckle at the show, but I remember a time that I would never miss that show.

only series im watching are

1.LOST
2.The Shield (i have the finale saved and doubt i will have time to watch it till this weekend)

thankfully as much as i have enjoyed each series thank goodness there wrapping up so i have more time for other things

of course i always record Raw (which i find myself fast forwarding through more and more these days)

i have some stuff on my dvr right now thats a month old and i doubt i will ever get around to watching it

i wll find time to watch the Pistons v Spurs finals games but until then i watched random games here and there of the nba playoffs when it fit my schedule in place of a Marlins or Devil Rays game but only one or the other and if the sun hasnt set chances are im out rolling blading with christine and brad or tossing the football with bradley or shooting some hoops with my friend over sitting on the couch

outside of this i much rather turn on the desktop which gets better sound than this laptop and crank shoutcast up (thanks pk) put on some random station for the day do some exercises get some chores done or read a bit

CK, the Shield actually has 3 remaining episodes (counting the one youve yet to watch).

Last night I noticed my TIVO only recorded 60 minutes of the 90 minute show. Fortunately FX shows an encore that I was able to catch. FYI, get ready for an excellent 90 minutes.

I TiVo American Idol, Daily Show, Formula 1, and Ebert and Roeper. I am a compulsive channel surfer and will watch anything that catches my eye on the History channel, Discovery, Home and Garden, along with baseball, baseball, and more baseball. My wife TiVos Dr. Phil and ER, but those shows kill me, so I bought her her own TiVo and those are the only shows on it. My kids TiVo Yu-Gi-Oh and Avatar the Last Airbender. I hate when they add a season pass for some cartoon that comes on 10 times a day. :x

I'm a little late to the party, but I'll throw my viewing habits into the ring:

Shows I "must" see each week:
Lost
Inferno II (Yeah, I know, but it's my only reality/MTV vice)

The kids love cartoons and kiddie movies (and we love the breaks), so they see a little here and there, but not all day long. as a result, I've seen each of the 5 Star Wars movies at least twice in the past month.

The one current cartoon I really enjoy sitting down and watching with Cameron is Kids Next Door. It's has very clever and creative premise, and I just can't help but get sucked into it when it's on.

My wife loves TV, so I get a lot of second hand tv (kinda like 2nd hand smoke?) from her. As a result I have seen parts of Housewives, Apprentice, Bachelor, etc... and a lot home shows. The home shows can be interesting, but they are starting to turn into rich people doing things with their homes that you could never afford to do yourself.

If it's just me and the TV, then it's being used for gaming or watching sports. Over the past couple of years I have gradually weaned myself away from the TV, and I'm not working on the same process for the PC. I'm sick of always sitting on my a$$ staring at a screen. I already do that most of my workday, and that's enough.

Seems like most of my shows are over for now. Six Feet Under will be kicking in here in a couple of weeks, though. I saw that they are talking about January for the final season of The Sopranos.

Shows I had season passes for:

Lost
Survivor
Apprentice
Project Greenlight (this may have been my favorite show this season)
Dinner for Five (great interview show with Jon Favreau in IFC)
The Daily Show (Rocks!)
X-Play (I agree with Dan in that most of the games aren't of interest, but they still crack me up)
The Office (both American and British)

My wife records, and I usually watch:

House
West Wing

I ususally search Tivo for upcoming documentaries. Sundance and IFC are awesome for this. Always something cool to catch there. If you like docs on the stranger side, you have to check out Delusions of Modern Primitivism on IFC. It's just 20 minutes, and they run it off and on.

Then I try to catch movies if I have time. Finally saw Trainspotting the other night on IFC. For some reason, I thought of Grog...

60 Minutes
60 Minutes Wednesday
48 Hrs Mystery
History Channel's History's Mysteries
American Idol (only watchable through TIVO heh)
Real Time w/ Bill Maher
The Apprentice (I can't help it, I love this show)
Wire to Wire (ESPN Horse Racing recap show)

Are you serious?
Yeah, he's serious, and so am I.

If it wasn't for seeing a promo for the show once during a NASCAR telecast, I never would have known what the hell "House" is, either. There's absolutely nothing on FOX other than NASCAR and the NFL that interests me, and I don't read TV columns or listings as there's nothing on network TV that interests me outside of "Lost."

Some of you cats might be amazed at the number of top shows of which I've watched one or no episodes: "Friends," "24," "Raymond," "Family Guy," "Desperate Housewives," "Roseanne," "The Simpsons," "The Bachelor," "American Idol," "ER," "Malcolm," etc., etc. The list is endless for me. Name a top-rated sitcom or medical drama of the last 15 years, and chances are I've never watched it or watched it only once and thought it sucked.

In fact, I can think of only five network shows that I've watched for an entire season or more in the last 15 years: "Seinfeld," "Homicide," "The West Wing," first season of "Joe Millionaire" and "Lost." That's it.

Guess I'm a freak. :)

Take care,
PK
I think it's hilarious that you've watched four critical darlings in Seinfeld, Homicide, Lost and the West Wing and then added Joe Millionaire to the mix. Did you know the guy on the show? Why the big departure from what appears to be your tv m.o.?
