OT for Medal of Honor fans

Hi all:
 
 Any fan of the EA Medal of Honor series owes it to themselves to check out Conflict: Desert Storm by Gotham Games. I rented the Xbox version tonight and am very pleasantly surprised.
 
 Any time I see a game from an unfamiliar publisher, such as Gotham, I´m always a bit leery. But I figured, what the hell, this might be a fun rental.
 
 It´s all that, and more. This game reminds me a lot of the MoH series but with a lot more flexibility in movement, weapons diversity, stances, positions, command and control, etc., without the complexity and finger gymnastics to control Commandos 2 for the Xbox.
 
 Many of the principles of this game borrow heavily from Medal of Honor, so MoH fans will feel right at home. I also highly recommend the excellent training mode in the game, which will allow you to step right into the game feeling comfortable with the controls after completion.
 
 Again, check out Conflict: Desert Storm if you´re an MoH fan. Very fun. Quite a nice surprise.

 After reading multiple posts on this game, I figured what the hey, I´ll buy.
 
 We sit and played Conflict for like six hours straight last night. Three player co-op. This is a great game.
 
 The nice thing about this game is that everything is just done solidly. Nothing is absolutely amazing, its just all done solidly. Not many games have that going for them.
 
 I only wish there was also a multiplayer vs. mode.

Hey Guys,
 
 This might seem like a weird question... What´s the "gore" factor? My son loves Army men and video games based on soldiers, but it´s hard to find ones that aren´t too "realistic" with death (he´s 5). Is there blood? Is the death too "realistic?" The Xbox doesn´t offer much in the "shoot ´em up" genre for kids to play without parents like me worrying about it! <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_smile.gif">
 
 What´s your opinion? I considered renting this, but I´ve shied away from it up until this point...

 Man, I can´t remember. I think it´s bloodier than Army Men, but it´s not an Unreal Tournament gorefest, from what I recall.

No kind of gore like limbs flying off or anything....but there is blood. Just blood that shows up where you shoot the guy at. The game though I think would be a little rough for a five year old with all the sniping and such. Even the controls I think would be a bit much as you have to control four guys. There was also some mild language at the beginning(god damn and ass). Man its a good game though <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_smile.gif">

Thanks for filling me in! This is one I´ll have to rent and then hide it from my son. He´d go nuts if he saw the cover and couldn´t play it!
