TOTALLY agree!!!ScoopBrady wrote:Can we stop labelling threads with no impressions with the word impressions? I was looking forward to some MVP impressions but there are none.
Like a co-worker of mine always says..."sometimes you gotta get ready to get ready...". But I don't think we need to have 'impression' threads ready to go. I am sure that the first person that actually has impressions to post is forum savoy enough to be able to create an impressions thread. It's more of the sticking to that one thread that we seem to have more of a problem with here.

Well, technically that isn't true. I've seen one freeze on a shot on goal that resulted in a goal. The game will hiccup when there is an offline shot on goal *if* the ball is heading out of bounds. If the shot bounces off the post or keeper there is no freeze. The hiccups in FIFA are unnecessary (I think they are caused when the game cues up the next cutscene) and make the game feel rushed, but it really doesn't affect the gameplay IMO.sportdan30 wrote:If MVP suffers the same framerate issues Fifa does, this game is not going to become part of my collection. I played the rental of Fifa yesterday, and I cannot believe how forgiving you guys are. It's $49.99 freaking dollars and the damn game freezes whenever there is a shot on goal!
If MVP only freezes on obvious homeruns or foul balls heading in the stands I would still buy it if it plays like the console version.
sorry Scoop, but if people are gonna talk about other things, what are you gonna do? I'm sure as soon as someone gets this game, the impressions will start rolling in. I'm surprized at the lack of "hype" around this release. People are maybe put off by all the delays and/orScoopBrady wrote:Can we stop labelling threads with no impressions with the word impressions? Everyone should know that impressions for games don't start rolling in until page two or three.
Jack,
I think it's a couple things why there is a lack of hype for MVP. Number one, people are quite content with MLB for the PSP. Number two, EA kept delaying MVP that other games caught people's interst. And number three, E3. Enough said. I for one am looking forward to seeing what PSP games are previewed at E3.

I have absolutely ZERO interest in MVP on the PSP. I'm enjoying MLB 2006 on the PSP and MVP on the Xbox...I see no reason to waste $50 on this when my baseball fix is more than being satisfied.sportdan30 wrote:If MVP suffers the same framerate issues Fifa does, this game is not going to become part of my collection. Uh Oh. I'm waiting for someone to yell at you for posting that in this thread. This is an impressions thread. JackB1 didn't ask for people's interest level.Badgun wrote:I have absolutely ZERO interest in MVP on the PSP.sportdan30 wrote:If MVP suffers the same framerate issues Fifa does, this game is not going to become part of my collection. LOL! Well I'll read this thread just to see if the game is any different than the console versions. Plus I have this sneaky feeling that something major is going to be wrong with it, that's another reason I'm staying away. I predict excruciatingly long loadtimes which will eventually kill the game for most people. Hopefully, I'm wrong, but there has been something wrong with several of EA's PSP games.Leebo33 wrote:Uh Oh. I'm waiting for someone to yell at you for posting that in this thread. Since there are no impressions yet and I'd like to help us towards page 2, I'd like to point out that Circuit City is again offering a $10 gift card with the purchase through Saturday. That's assuming Circuit City gets the game by Saturday (they usually get the game within a few days of release so it will be close). That will take the sting out of the game being listed at $50. Plus, if you pick it up at the equivalent of $40 and it sucks, you can sell it on Ebay and be out the price of a rental.
Me too, I have it as my only game listed and sent a game back yesterday. Hope to have it for the weekend...but we'll see.
And to go off-topic...how have you liked Gamerang HipE? A mix bag, so far for me. Claim they never got a game back and now it has been 3 days since they say they sent me a game and it isn't here. Other three have been fine though.

I have had a terrific experience with Gamerang so far, I absolutely love the service. In fact, I'm planning to upgrade my account to the 3 games out at a time plan, and just never purchase any games for any systems again. Like clockwork, it has taken 2 days for my games to get to them, and two days for games to get to me, with them shipping out my next two games the same day they receive the ones I am returning. I've rented 8 games from them already, which would have taken me about two months if I was still using Gamefly (at least 5 days for me to get my games, and at least 5 days to return them). One thing I have learned though is to only keep two games in my queue at a time. For some reason, even if all my games are showing as available, they would sometimes send me games at the bottom of my list. Now that I only keep one or two games in my queue though, I'm getting what I want every time. In fact, even games showing as "short wait" are shipping out the same day my games are returned to them.

What the hell are you talking about man? $60 for a games that stinks would never fit my budget and even if it's a classic, I would think twice , maybe. Must as well save the $$$ for the PS3.
