Loved the left handed hook shot near the end of the game and the one man weaves through the Mav D. What got into Jim Jackson? I was so used to equating his play in a Dallas arena with failure.dbdynsty25 wrote:Good game tonight...Nash sure showed why he was MVP. A nice 27 and 17 assists to go along with the overrated Amare at 37 and 14 boards. LOL.
One of those Late Night with Conan analogies sums up the game

I wasn't terribly excited about his aquisition mid season but he has proven to be a decent defender and a good spot up shooter. He is behind Johnson on the depth chart because Joe can create his own shot off the dribble...Jackson has trouble with that. He can hit a spot up jumper so he fits in nicely with the Suns style, that's for sure.bdoughty wrote:What got into Jim Jackson? I was so used to equating his play in a Dallas arena with failure.
Larry Brown was exceptionally whiny following game 3. Was it a close call? Yes, but my admittedly-skewed opinion saw it as a huge flop from Hunter after some contact initiated by Miller.
Time to cue up the Journey since they have me believing again. It is good to see Rick Carlisle getting a lot of credit for keeping this rag-tag season together.

The rookie coach takes the Mavs on his back and leads them to victory by turning the Suns into a one man scoring machine. Fight onward Dampier, you the man now dawg.wco81 wrote:Looks like everything is lining up for the Suns. If they can put away the Mavs quick, they can get some rest, maybe get Johnson back.
Oh and could you pick the Suns to blowout the Mavs the rest of the series? We would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance

We are finally gonna see what the Suns are made of next game. They can't afford to lose at home and try to win a elimination game at Dallas. I know they could win game 6on the road, but I'm sure they don't wanna be in that situation.
Nash was incredible last night. But I liked Dallas srategy, control evryone else and avoid Nash's biggest strenght wich is getting good shots for his teamates.

I didn't realize I made a prediction.
Anyways, neither team is playing defense. Both shot well over 50% and around 40% or higher for 3-pointers, which is kind of what you expected the whole series.
Actually, the more accurate thing would be to say they called several ticky-tack fouls in game 4. The same ones they let go in game 3, especially from guys like Jim Jackson.
It's just a contrast to see Nash dribble into the lane unmolested most of the time. Compare that to what Rodman did to Mark Price a few years back.
Or what Seattle did to Ginobli.

He lives... Where have you been hiding?dbdynsty25 wrote:Damn good ballgame tonight so far. Dallas is making life very difficult for the Suns. Without Joe Johnson the Suns don't have a chance at a title though. They need him since he's the only other player besides Nash that can create his own shot on the perimeter.

Yea another bad game for Damp. When Damp shows up the Mavs have a shot.

Yea but I was kind of hoping he would have to go face to face with Duncan to get a refresher course in playing the center position.dbdynsty25 wrote:I've been around...Damp has to be the biggest waste of money ever. 2nd best big man in the game...haha. Why? Amare is doing just fine schooling him. Now, if the rest of the Suns step up on Friday...Cuban can offically call Dampier a BUST while he polishes Nash's new MVP trophy.bdoughty wrote:Yea but I was kind of hoping he would have to go face to face with Duncan to get a refresher course in playing the center position.

s***, DB, no need to rub it in. This series had no business going 6 from a talent standpoint. Only one Pacer could crack the starting 5 for the Pistons. But damn, they were up 2-1...
And as you said, boring. The Pistons are boring as hell, not that the Pacers are exciting at all though.
Still can't stand them, but a classy move at the end of the game to honor Reggie.
DB, any room left on your bandwagon? I want the Suns to prove you don't have to play a boring Pistons style to win.

LOL...if the Suns don't get Joe Johnson back soon, there won't be a bandwagon. It'll just be the same damn announcers saying that small, fastbreaking basketball can't win in the playoffs (which is untrue, but without JJ, the Suns can't prove that point). They have a shot if JJ comes back, otherwise it's going to be mighty tough to get past Dallas, let alone the San Antonio's, Miami's and Detroit's of the league.
