I'll be on the buying bandwagon, this will be the first console I buy on opening. Heck, I could buy it and use it for a couple months and if there's a shortage, I can sell it at a profit so little Bobby can have one for Christmas.
It's always going to be about gameplay. Sure, things might look prettier on one place than another, but the games you go back and play are the ones that are fun. The thing that I love about the Xbox is Live, this is the added playability factor that Sony still hasn't seem to figure out. That and little things about the PS with the load times that are irritating that the addition of a Hard Drive alleviates...
On another thought, we can all stick it to MS, I'm sure they're going to lose plenty of $$s for every Xbox they sell up front...
I'm curious of the power source for the wireless controller? Will we need a box of AA batteries next to our console? Some type of rechargeable battery pack?
It looked impressive but there wasn't much on the sports gaming front that would make me go get this thing. The problem is I don't know if we were shown CGI or the real game.
The NFS portion looked absolutely incredible, and so did madden and nba2k6. IF those games actually look like what we were shown during live gameplay, it'll be hard to pass up.
I can't commit until they commit to a price, but this looks like a great upgrade from the Xbox. But at what cost? This video was much better than the crap on MTV last night.
How much crap do you think that gamer girl is getting today, b*tch?
And those 2 posts are excactly why we dont need this thing yet.
Its still all about graphics. Lets get back to gameplay. Lets devote 50% to Ai now not 25% even 90% to it.
Make these games come to life with realism in players decisions not graphics.
I hope these generic within the box developers prove me wrong . But they wont.

You're right but graphics sell, especially for a new system on the market.
Over at IGN's new 360 website, there was an interesting tidbit about the NBA2K series.
Apparently, the NFL 2K team and the NBA teams were combined. The results are stunning.
There's in game footag of Lebron on a street court shooting hoops. Muscles flex and his clothing moves indepentently of his body. It looks rendered, but it's actually in-game engine.
I'm dissapointed about losing 2K football, but I'm happy to see two very talented desgin teams join forces.
They better be very, very careful with this 'microtransaction' type stuff. If many of the features that have been given to us for free as a gamer (even if as an unlockable) suddenly start showing up with price tags, I' m going to be majorly turned off.
Say they only offer 2 cars per class for free in Forza. Or all of the alt jerseys in a sports game must be bought....
