From what I recall at the GDC (Game Dev Conference) most people were reporting the web cam/headset would be included (since both can be used with games, even for those who do not play online). The only option would be the hard drive.Herbsinator wrote:I wonder if that little web cam comes with it or not? Also it would be sweet if they included that headset aswell. But they probably won't and they will be about 50 bucks a pop.
Here is the Remote Control

Yep the B/W buttons are at the top of the controller, right above the shoulder buttons. For those wondering about the 1, 2, 3, 4 -> it is probably there because they are using wireless controllers (representing which controller is "x" player). The thing in the middle is rumored to be a quick lauch to XBL, but hopefully it will do more then that.AtXj wrote:I can't see the right side of the controller bdaughty, did they do away with the white and black buttons or did they relocate them to the back near the triggers?
If Xbox360 comes with remote and rechargeable wireless controllers, that's pretty damn good value (assuming the base configuration is no more than $300).
I believe it can be laid on its side right? May be weird with the concave sides but that will fit in better in entertainment centers than leaving it upright.
Heat and fan noise should be some concern. Suppose to have multicore 3 GHz CPU as well as a 400-500 Mhz GPU. PS3 will also probably run hot and noisy. Watch Nintendo find a way to make the Revolution fan-less.

That's the one thing I really dislike about the current XBox. After my DVD player crapped out, I decided to just use my XBox and wait for HD-DVD to gain hold. But the damn thing is so loud, I never really noticed it when playing. Trying to watch a quiet film, you can really hear it.wco81 wrote: Heat and fan noise should be some concern. Nope triggers are there.laurenskye wrote:Didn't the PS2 have lots of problems with disk drives failing when it was placed on its side?
Did they keep the great analog triggers or go to the crappy PS2 style as reported?
Yes WCO the console can be placed vertical or horizontal.
Remote Control now includes a handy on/off button... Horray!
