that was a amazing comeback by the bulls, but more amazing was how long Arenas held onto that ball until shooting. On the replay it showed he shot it around .4 sec left. And he didnt even rush the shot or panic, it was smooth.

That really was an incredible finish last night in Chicago. As much of a gut punch as Arenas's shot was, I am glad the Bulls didn't give up. Most young teams would have rolled over being down by 20 after three quarters. They just refused to give up. That's heartening to see after years of teams that have quit as soon as the season started.

For three quarters, the Wizards played incredible basketball. Their passing was a sight to be seen, confusing the Bulls so much, it was like they had an extra man on their side. As soon as they went back to the one-on-one, that's when they let Chicago back in. Although, to be fair, the Bulls just got red hot in the fourth.

I actually feel okay about the Bulls having to go to DC to play game 6. I feel like, even with that loss, they regained the energy they have lost since the second half of game 3. I know they haven't won there in 10 games, but I still think they can grit out a win.

That shot by Arenas was a thing of beauty. Totally clutch play.

Houston is not executing in the 4th Quarter like they did in games 1 & 2, but the officiating is dictating a great deal of the momentum. It sounds like you are implying a conspiracy. If so, why would the NBA want a less marketable team (no T-Mac or international star like Yao) in a smaller market to win?

I have watched the entire series so far and have seen some very bad officiating, but nothing that would lead me to believe there is any bias. Bad calls have gone both ways, it just so happens that two of them happened at the end of game 5 at a crucial time and Sportscenter decided to highlight them.

Dirk, Stack, Howard and Daniels aggressively take it to the hole a lot more often than T-Mac and.....well, T-Mac. Therefore, more free throws for Dallas.

In general, I think there is some level of fouling going on by somebody every time down court. The refs have to make judgment calls on what rises to the level of being whistled. When their team starts losing, people have a tendency to focus every little bump and jostle that happens to their team and complain about unfair calls.

I agree and it happens in every sport. First people complained about the the way the Patriots were allowed to get away with murder in the secondary and then it switched to how they are allowed to hold on the offensive line this season. Is there a conspiracy in the NFL? How many times have you heard about the different strike zones for Glavine, Maddux, etc?

They let Tinsley hit him in the face/head a couple of times.

I don't think Pierce elbowed him hard at all. Tinsley flopped a bit.

But yeah he should have restrained himself.

Tinsley absolutely flopped, but Pierce can't be dumb enough to swing wrecklessly. And I don't think you can say that Tinsley did anything out of the ordinary for a team that HAD to foul immediately.

too many outside jumpers in that OT by the pacers. Walker stepped up for the celtics even though he still doesn't know when to pass when you've got a 3 on 1 fb going.

Someone needs to tell the Pacers that every shot in the last 2 minutes of a game/OT does not have to be from beyond the 3 point line.

Nice move Paul Pierce...could be the dumbest move in a big game since Chris Webber's phantom timeout.

Plus the move of taking his uniform off and waving it as he walks off the floor. Real class stuff there.

Yah, Indiana is realy classy. The Pacers have been bumping, holding, and tripping us all series to make up for their lack of depth of talent. It was like 35 free throws to 5 at one point and it wasn't because we were taking more outside shots...totally ridiculous. That may work with a young team like the Celtics, but if they have to face more veteran teams, which they won't, they aren't going to make those teams lose their composure with their disguised fouls and flopping. I hope for his sake that punk Tinsley doesn't meet Pierce in a dark alley.

The teams which played tonight aren't going anywhere. Playing a 7-game series and then going up against a higher-seed who's just played a 4 or 5 game series is going to be rough.

Indy-Boston and Houston-Dallas are softening each other up for the next opponent.

We can be a dangerous team if we get on a streak. We already showed we can hold our own with the Pistons and Heat this season. We have already seen the Pacers at their best, and it wasn't that impressive. But the Cs are fully capable of putting more than a 100 pts on the board for a long stretch of games.

Yes the Celtic players are like angels on the court. I am sure all 27 of the calls against them were petty fouls that should not have been called.

Just a tip but when they refer to HACK A SHAQ... It helps to foul the proper O'Neal - wrong team kiddos.

If the Celtics win game 7, then you are going to have a rude awakening. Just wait until you see what the Pistons will do, despite their talent level.

As BD said, 27 ticky-tack fouls must have been called.

The Pacers blew it last night, plain and simple. They don't deserve to win the series. But I'm not counting them out yet.

Both of these teams don't have much of a future in the playoffs though.

I am a Celtics fan and I must admit, even if they win game 7, they will be lucky to win 2 games against Detroit. It still pains me to see Billups in another uniform and winning Championship(s). Still, I want Celtics to win just because at least they can get to the 2nd round and put an end to Reggie's career!

Unlike my boy Parker, I haven't been able to write for some days beacuse of my dad's diabetes. He had to be hospitalized for a couple of days but he's ok now.

Anyways, huge gut check last night. Even after Pierce's folly.

Walker drives me bananas, but boy was he clutch.

Funny how no one wants to talk about how Miller botched his chance at glory by trowing up a ugly contested 3 from WAY out with almost 6 secs still remaining. That was just as big a no-no as Pierce's.

Again, huge win for the C's.

As Walker said, Pierce has carried the team all series, it was time for him to pick him up.
