In no relation to this weekends series, but you have to admit... the strikezone is much different in Atlanta.. well, at least when Maddux and Glavine pitched there.

I will admit that Glavine and Maddux got some boarderline calls...it's obvious and anyone who's watched them pitch more than one time would tell you the same thing. However, I don't see it nowdays with the staff that they have. The only guy that MIGHT have the reputation to get some calls is Smoltz and he was squeezed yesterday. I don't know why the hell LaRussa is whining now.MizzouRah wrote:In no relation to this weekends series, but you have to admit... the strikezone is much different in Atlanta.. well, at least when Maddux and Glavine pitched there.
Ya it's baseball strategy, I dont know why he would seemed so shocked. Phil Jackson did the same thing when he coached for the Lakers. If Shaq didnt get the calls in one game, he would b*tch at the refs during the game and in the media and the next game Shaq would be getting all the touch foul calls. Larussa should do the same thing, I am sure he's done it before in the past.dbdynsty25 wrote:St. Louis fans have been awfully quiet lately...too bad your manager is a whiney b*tch.
From LaRussa:
"I praise the Atlanta Braves as much as anybody, but the only thing they're not to be respected for is how they (fuss) and moan about every freaking play," LaRussa told reporters. "It's so one-sided that, sooner or later, it's almost like a strategy.
"They beat the umpires down. It's really bull and beneath the class of the organization. It's a joke. There's no doubt in my mind. Maybe that's their strategy. It's not to be admired. It's not to be copied."
What a whiner...get your team ready to play and stop worrying about the other clubhouse.
Uh, maybe maybe he's doing it now? A precursor to their next series? The whining about the whining of the other team is the bad guy? What does that make the guys that whine in a forum about a manager that whines about another team that whines?Weaver2005 wrote:Ya it's baseball strategy, I dont know why he would seemed so shocked.
