Hopefully they can take care of the Spurs so that Phoenix doesn't have to play them assuming they get that far.Boom wrote:Nuggets steal the home court advantage from the Spurs in game 1. Long way to go, but Denver taking game 1 in San Antonio makes this series very exciting.

WTF, will that Ethiopian just retire already.
I almost fell out of my chair when the TNT commentator said Miller is an extremely energetic player...give me a break, it's like watching a slow motion snoozefest with him, though he wasn't much faster or more entertaining even early in his career.

Just a friendly TROLL ALERT...
This as the same person who went on a rant on Richard Hamilton and his abilities yet had NOTHING to back it up, and that somehow Larry Bird was father of the year.
Well another year and he is back to amuse the NBA crowd
If you do not reply to him directly he will get bored and stop posting. That or he will leave when the Celtics are drop kicked out of the playoffs.

Although the Pistons have an accomplished flopper of their own with Hamilton.

Yeah...that was the year Kevin Johnson had one of the best dunks in playoff history (possibly one of the greatest dunks ever, me being a huge KJ fan anyway, lol)...straight up on one of the best shot blockers in the history of the NBA.FatPitcher wrote:Anyone remember the year the Rockets beat all the best teams in the league (Utah, Phoenix, Orlando?) and won the championship?
More lies, I never said anything against Hamilton's skills, though he is hardly an elite player, I said I just didn't like the guy. He was an annoying punk at Uconn and he hasn't changed.bdoughty wrote:Just a friendly TROLL ALERT...

I apologize if it offended any Ethiopians here, I was angry at the time. But I don't see why it was particularly offensive. No different than if I had said Yugoslavian, Brazilian, Lithuanian, Nigerian etc.ScoopBrady wrote:Real classy.Parker wrote:WTF, will that Ethiopian just retire already.

Walker has done enough for the city and is one of the NBA's most generous guys, though Pierce has hardly been a slouch in this area.
I remember Miller missing more end of the game 3s than I do him making them.

Boston really, really screwed up. They had a chance to come out and stick a fork in the Pacers, and instead looked like they had just fallen out of Jeff Spicoli's van right before the game. Totally lackluster. They did a nice job to come back, but then choked on their own vomit in the fourth. That doesn't bode well. Raef LaFrentz played like he was wearing the wrong jersey. I think the Pacers win the next two and pull the upset in game 6.
Well when you have around an 18 season career and average over 15 ppg for about 14 of those, your going to have your shares of misses. I don't think most people think of choking when it comes to Reggie Miller, however.Parker wrote:I remember Miller missing more end of the game 3s than I do him making them.

Sorry, I think I forgot a word. I meant to say ALOT more I have seen him miss than make. Of course you are going to miss more than half, but I'd like to see the statistical percentage of buzzer beating 3s, I think you would be surprised.reeche wrote:Well when you have around an 18 season career and average over 15 ppg for about 14 of those, your going to have your shares of misses. Scott Skiles proved he deserves coach of the year last night. He has managed his players better than anyone else this season, getting quality minutes out of every player on the roster. Wizards came out and were killing the Bulls, and he completely switched things up and found the right group to get them back in the game. D'Antoni and McMillan certainly did tremendous jobs, but there is no coach getting more with less than Skiles. As someone who has watched the most consistently bad basketball team of the last 7 years, I can't believe how the Bulls are playing with a veteran mix of enthusiasm and composure.
The Bulls were certainly helped by a Wizards team that quit in the third quarter and most of the fourth. The Wizards looked listless and defeated, with guys standing around waiting for Arenas or Jamison to do something. They only got energized when they made a run at the end, and by then it was too late. I don't see a sweep -- they are too talented offensively -- but they don't look like they will make it past game 5 right now.
