Re: DiRT Rally

Couple of notes on Germany - don't over use the handbrake in the rain, use lightly if at all - the arse will get away from you.
Also on the 400 and 500 straightaways, especially on the home legs, break slightly earlier than you really want to - you will be at top speed, and braking to a square turn ...

Re: DiRT Rally

Fshguy and I were 1.001 seconds apart overall. I was acutely conscious of how close we were because after the second last race he was suddenly in front.

That last race was nerve-racking, leading to this:

Re: DiRT Rally

I for one am quite happy with this executive decision, feeling more at home on gravel than tarmac or snow.

Re: DiRT Rally

I don't like having to guess where the steering input is going to start working...most of the time I set it at 5% or less if possible, and work on tiny adjustments instead of the stab-stab-stab-stab method of steering.

You know after this quote I switched to 5%, it felt too floaty, so I tried 10 ...

Re: DiRT Rally

Man that monte carlo stage is a hard intro to this class with all the spinning and sticky walls. Hopefully the improvement from playing the same cars week on week will translate to closer times towards the end. btw I took the hyundai cause it's the training wheels car - not because of some delusion ...

Re: DiRT Rally

Hiya guys

I'm MetaSacamano (Alan) in the league, came here from SG. Big Rally Racing fan - this one floats my boat more than any since Rallisports Challenge 2.

So the RS200 takes quite a bit more taming than I was hoping.... Poor choice there for the previous rally.

As to the league setup ...
