Re: DiRT Rally

Agreed. - you've done good.

I would love more stages in a rally personally. Otherwise, I'm fine :)

Re: DiRT Rally

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. That corner was one of my favorites early on, because it just felt like old dirt trackin' days. Throttle steer, and you feel awesome....right up until you have to hang that sharp left. I like the reverse of that track, because you're doing a left around that bend ...

Re: DiRT Rally

Thanks, Terry :).

Yeah , I'm trying to build trust that if I pitch the car too early it won't just nose in and slam me into something before the apex. I am trying to TRUST the car to slide. That's taking time to improve on, but working on that! :)

I just really love when going around that long ...

Re: DiRT Rally

https://youtu.be/US6YbTxJJMs

This is a stage tonight from the UK that I did with the TMX and Wheelstand Pro. Of note is finally being able to hold drifts as well as negotiate S curves by doing a pendulum swing back and forth. I don't remember whether this is my fastest time through this stage but ...

Re: DiRT Rally

So spent a good part of the weekend working on the wheel. I ended up adding back a little SAT. Might be due to the TX having a stronger FF engine than the TMX. Who knows.

Nonetheless, there are improvements in my times as I practice. Certainly things are overall smoother and I find myself making ...

Re: DiRT Rally

Quick update.

I have set up the stand and TMX and tried some Forza 6, F1 2015 and of course, DiRT Rally.

Everything works as advertised. Except, as I figured, I am currently significantly slower in DR. Why? Because the wheel is currently driving ME as much as I'm driving it. When you get ...

Re: DiRT Rally

cuz I bought what I bought. He's saying if I start beating him, he's going to use this as his excuse.

a) I probably will not start beating him (tho I hope to)
b) he's the one that got the pro Xbox One game controller with super sticks and paddles, instead of a proper wheel.
c) conclusion: his ...

Re: DiRT Rally

Yeah...if you're two footing it, that stand is likely perfect. Who knows on the TMX, as it's one of the few wheels I never bought.

It helps if you don't have to insert a book or something to keep the TMX solidly mounted. Just make sure not to crank that FF up too high

Yer funny, but I ...

Re: DiRT Rally

LOL, and Thrustmaster comes out with THIS next month:

TMX with T3PA pedals. But I'm not willing to wait another month and I will probably just enjoy the stock pedals for awhile and ...

Re: DiRT Rally

Yeah, I agonized over the decision. There were enough 'dead' or failed units that I didn't want to take the chance and be SOL $200+. And that's probably a normal failure rate. For all I know, the TMX has the same failure rate. Only difference is warranty there.

I pondered the stand long and hard ...

Re: DiRT Rally

Update. I ordered the wheel stand pro and the tmx. They'll show up later in the month.

The #1 question for me was HOW MUCH BETTER is the TX Force Feedback than the TMX? Every scrap of research showed me that while the TX might be better, the TMX is so good that it's not a significant difference in ...

Re: DiRT Rally

No I haven't bought anything yet. My birthday isn't until the 7th. I'm trying to understand why the only TX that the thrustmaster company seems to be advertising is the leather Edition. They act like the 458 Ferrari Italia is discontinued or something. I just honestly don't know what to do. I can't ...

Re: DiRT Rally

Life happens, man. We appreciate the work that goes into setting this thing up and all of the copying and pasting that you have to do....don't even sweat it!

Now, is anybody interested in buying a used TX Wheel and T3PA pedal unit? It'd be cheaper than new, naturally!

Can you explain why you're ...
