I loved 08. First game I didn't get tired of or figure out an unstoppable play within a couple months.

I know Ronaldo is everyone's favorite punching bag... but he was not their problem. Awful defense (especially on set plays), bad reffing and only one striker... Nuno Gomez. Those were their problems.

And I don't understand Phil's strategy of putting Ronaldo up as a striker... then not sending any ...

OK the first post is updated with the most recent results. Slovakia jumps over the Irish into first place and Norway jumps into contention just behind third place Bulgaria.

As always let me know if I've made any egregious errors.

Two more rain games for the best Water Polo team to ever strap on some cleats. This time a split.

Swiss 0 - Norway 1
Swiss 1 - Norway 0

I know we're supposed to play 3... but my thumbs can only stand two at a time.

fun games Macman... sorry we couldn't chat.

I know it looks bad right now for the Swiss... but I promise I'll get me games in. Tough lately between work and racing how to watch Euro before I go to sleep.

Also heading out to take a peek at Beckham against the Quakes this weekend.

Yeah EA's league sites ...

You can drop from the league as I did from the first one. I think you press back or start and a small menu pops up.

back is the help menu and start did nothing. Tried pretty much every other button I could find, so unless it's some Yie Ar Kung Fu drop kick combination I don't see how you can ...

I see no option to drop... so I guess it's the tale of two Irish.

And aren't we missing someone?

And what's up with the total lack of information on the league page (in Euro)

And one more question... what do you guys think about Euro compared to Fifa?

I am also Republic of Ireland. Which manager do you want to be; Trappatoni or Staunton? Since he won a championship with Liverpool I don't mind being the latter. :)

Since I don't know either, you are obviously more qualified to manage the green meanies. I actually wanted Norway or Turkey ...

Sorry for the quick off-topic post... but anyone having trouble with WE9 (xbox)?

Fifa and I have had it lock up about 5 of the last 20 games we've played. Each time it happened it was after a goal was scored and at the resulting kick off we simply could not kick off. You could go to the friend ...

From reading it sounds really disappointing. Yet another sports title taking a step backwards in the name of 360 graphics.

Well not just yours...

But it did sound like you couldn't customize the controls ...

Anyway... if I'm not too late I'm up for a game. I'm around today starting now. I'll also be around friday ...
