Well considering my original statement was "Kind of shocked there is no Gears 5 thread, I haven't had time to check it out but has this game become so stale we won't even look at it for "free"?"
I'm not sure your reply even makes sense but you go off.

It doesn't, was mostly being facetious, but it missed, like usual over text. Not the first time I failed to be amusing.Danimal wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 6:11 pmWell considering my original statement was "Kind of shocked there is no Gears 5 thread, I haven't had time to check it out but has this game become so stale we won't even look at it for "free"?"

Square Enix's, Octopath Traveler is headed to both consoles and PC on March 25th. I was tempted to buy for the Switch so am glad it's now on GP.

MLB The Show 21 coming to Game Pass for Xbox One and X/S. More reasons to have Game Pass, it's beyond essential. Microsoft is killing it with GP.

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)
Holy f*ck -- that's BIG. GamePass just saved me $65, as The Show was a Day One purchase for me.
Microsoft continues to land gut punches and haymakers with GamePass. At the risk of being a dick (well, most of you know I already am one ), if you own an Xbox or a PC for gaming and don't subscribe to GamePass, you really should piss into a cup to check for brain-eroding substances.
MS is just killing it these days.

What cocks*ckers. Most purchases are not eligible for a refund after 14 days. Good thing I preordered MLB The Show on 3/14/21 - so I'm out of luck according to support. Well, there goes 85 bucks! Lucky you didn't pre-order PK.

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)
I almost never pre-order. Almost none of the lures that publishers use to try and tempt you into pre-ordering affect me at all. Could give two f*cks about being able to play four days early, extra uniforms, extra coins for MUT/FUT, legends packs, etc.dbdynsty25 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 11:28 amWhat cocks*ckers. Pre-ordering was more legit when stocks might be low when we all bought physical product. But in the era of digital downloads, pre-ordering makes no sense to ME whatsoever. Not to mention the cheap f*ck in me doesn't want to pay more than regular retail.

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)
Go to a virtual chat. Took me about 4 minutes, I’ll miss some perks with the J. Robinson cover but if anyone has the Xbox UP, it would be silly to take any preorders now.dbdynsty25 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 11:28 amWhat cocks*ckers. And my preorder was done even back on February 07th.
Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)
Is this a belated April fools joke?
Ill have to see the Show downloading the way Out Riders did last night to believe it.
Really does sound too crazy.

Thought about it too. Not only true but available from day 1. That got my attention.

Played a lot of Outriders over the weekend.
Really having some fun with it. 3rd person looter shooter with rpg elements gone all eastern Europe. Its fast paced in your face arcade shooting and loot crazy mayhem.
Even getting a kick out of what they deem a story. Like watching a "B" Sci fi movie with the corresponding acting. Has a certain charm.
Not the greatest game and does not have the best controls but it is definitely worth a look especially at the price.

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)
So I never played the Wolfenstein new games and download the new order on GPU. Man after 30 minutes I hate this, it is so scripted and honestly not much fun. What am I missing here because these games got like rave reviews when released.

I liked The New Order (one of the few shooters I actually finished!). I bailed pretty quickly on "Youngblood" as it felt like more of the same.

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)
I think there's a lot of sentimentality for the entire Wolfenstein series because it's old school. It's scripted, bound to pretty much a linear path, etc. -- the antithesis of current open-world games. No online, either. It probably reminds a lot of people of games like the original Medal of Honor.
Plus Wolfenstein is pretty damn hard in parts, with a lot of frustrating, rinse-wash-repeat or challenging, "one more time" vibe, depending on your perspective.
The graphics, sound and entire vibe of the series are pretty sinister. And killing Nazis just feels good.
But if you don't want that kind of nostalgia, then Wolfenstein won't satisfy you. I enjoyed it, but only for a while. The nostalgia wore off pretty quickly, and the frustration of needing 34 attempts to clear certain levels -- probably because I suck and have failing reflexes -- got tiring. But I sure did dig the vibe, and it's always fun to see Nazi body parts flying in the air.

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)
PK makes sense, honestly the nostalgia I am missing is when we used to play the more tactical shooters with me, you, Teal and Mix (god bless his soul if he is still around) Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising etc. I miss those types of games that required tactics and planning.

The nights that you, Teal, Mix and I played Operation Flashpoint: Red River remain among my favorites in nearly 40 years of video gaming and nearly 20 years of online gaming.Danimal wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 5:35 pmPK makes sense, honestly the nostalgia I am missing is when we used to play the more tactical shooters with me, you, Teal and Mix (god bless his soul if he is still around) Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising etc. I miss those types of games that required tactics and planning.
That sh*t was TENSE. And planning and communication were ESSENTIAL.
Mix is still around! Got some very good tips from him about Elite Dangerous in an Xbox Live voice chat a few months ago. Still the same great guy we know and love.

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)
I very much miss tactical co-op games. The Clancy ubisoft games have been watered down and arcaded up to the point of being unrecognizable, mostly. GR used to be the gold standard. R6 used to be tense and gripping.
I found a copy of Flashpoint Red River a few months ago. That game STILL rocks very hard.

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)
If you guys haven't given Quantum Break a chance, do so. It's a crazy, original, story driven action game. Started playing it last night and couldn't put it down for a few hours. The controls are a little wonky and the cover system is just okay but the graphics are fantastic (Series X) and it is just different and cool. Free on gamepass of course.
