know anyone personally that has one. I am thinking about the purchase but want first hand knowledge. Amazon reviews are favorable for the most part. Any thoughts are appreciated.

PM me when you're ready to buy a Delphi XM radio. I might be able to get you a discount on the unit through work.
Take care,

I got a MyFi through a work deal and it's pretty solid. I haven't played with everything yet, but I get decent reception almost everywhere.
The ability to listen to hometeam baseball broadcasts every night was pretty much a system seller (You also get the Kornheiser show, ESPN Radio and NASCAR and IndyCar Series broadcasts). I get to reconnect with the voices of my youth, when I'd listen to the late Mark Holtz (RIP) and Eric Nadel call another Rangers loss...
Now it's Eric Nadel and Vince something. And the Rangers still lose

The real beauty of the MyFi is the tivo like feature that allows you to record up to 5 hours of music and listen to it later, maybe inside where you won't get reception. The 5 hours of music actually translates out to 9-10 hours of talk radio due to compression. I record Opie & Anthony everyday and listen to it thoughout the day and night and my MyFi allows me to keep two shows on it at all times. Plus, it will also run a ticker of stocks or sports scores depending on what you tell it.
I got mine free, but I'd gladly pay for one knowing how much you can do with it. Of all the gadgets I have, the MyFi is probably my favorite.
