Indy Car Series Newbie Convert
Okay, i realize i'm way late but i had to post this. I am NOT a racing fan, never have been and probably never will be, but after some convincing from Sport73 i picked this game up. He and I are similar in our gaming and figured what the hell. All i can say is I'M HOOKED BAD. To the point where i just got home and found myself sticking ICS in the machine over ESPN..........on hold with my shrink as i type this.
Anyway--what ISN'T this game. It's addictive, exhilirating, wild, fun, frustrating, panic ridden, tense, etc. etc. etc. Just a damn fun game to play, and while i realize a newbie in the races does nothing but cause yellow and black flags (not the insect kind either), it would be an honor to join the crew at the next event. Count me as sold, this one is a keeper.

oh no, not another one!
seriously though, welcome aboard! You might want to search previous thread for the countless tips that PK and the gang have given me (an Indy newbie too). I think we are doing a "regular" Indy night every Sun, with scattered nights throught the week (check here).
Best advice I could give is watch your throttle control......accelerate gradually on starts and restarts. Be very cautious the first fews laps with cold tires, as one solid meeting with the wall will almost certainly ruin the race for you. Draft when possible. Make minor setup adjustments at first. Most folks only touch the tires, wings, gears and ride height.
The stock setups are pretty good. Learning the proper line is far more important than tweaking your setup.
See you online!

Let's race tonight -- the RallyMonkey Break The Cherry 500!
Anyone else interested?
Rally, glad you're liking this game. It's a gem despite its rough edges.
Thanks,
PK

YO! Stop the train.
1st. It was my distinct understanding that TOCA is where it's at on Wednesday Nights.
2nd. (I don't own ICS yet so I'm screwed after waiting a week if we don't race TOCA tonight!)
3rd. I'm trying to be VERRRRRY patient since my b'day is Saturday and ICS is on the list.
4th....awwww crap.

I'll probably jump on around 10ish (EDT) for some action and will host a race session.
Take care,
PK

It is an honor and a privilege to have a race named after me in a game that i completely suck at.Maybe after that we could have the GR:IT Break Rally's Cherry Shootout.........or we could have the Break Rally's Cherry Sticky Shocker Nugget Knocker in SC:PT. Then wrap up the night with the Break Rally's Cherry Fuzzy Balls Tourney in Top Spin.
No matter what, barring catastrophe, i will be anxiously awaiting my invite from PK tonight at 10:00. Thanks PK and it'll be good to be back.
