PlayStation has announced a price increase for its PlayStation 5 consoles in the U.S. starting on August 21, 2025. The new prices are as follows:

PlayStation 5 Console: $549.99 (up $50 from the previous price)

PlayStation 5 Digital Edition: $499.99 (up $50 from the previous price)

PlayStation 5 Pro: $749.99 (up $50 from the previous price)

Because some companies are choosing to absorb the increased costs of the tariffs for as long as they can instead of passing along to the consumer, hoping Trump will TACO like he has with most of his tariff plans.
