Heh, the Mancini-Moyes altercation was hilarious.

Just got back from a terrific trip to spain that included stops in Madrid, Granada, and Barcelona.
Took a trip out for the stadium and museum tour of Camp Nou Monday morning and all I can say is WOW! The stadium and museum tour is a bit pricey but I couldn't pass up the opportunity. The Stadium tour starts with a visit to the dressing room (think it was the visitors) and then a trip down the tunnel past the chapel and out to the side of the pitch - though sadly not onto it during my tour. They were prepping the pitch for the mid-week match and had a couple of machines on wheels with some sort of UV lights.
From pitch-side I went up to the first section of seats and then back inside into the room where they hold press conferences. Other areas included in the tour were the presidential seats and interior bar and trophy case (wow!) and the commentary boxes up at the top. Finally down into the museum which had an incredible display and some huge full screen monitors showing highlights from Barca's history including historic goals and their 5 cup season from last year.
Here's a few pictures from the stadium tour

Best wishes,
Doug

Haven't made it to Camp Nou or the Bernebau.
Granada is awesome little city. Not big in futbol but great nevertheless.
On my way back before flying out of Malaga, I was walking around and there was a huge crowd outside a hotel. Turns out FCB was expected to arrive there. Guess there are frontrunners everywhere.

There were quite a few people there for the stadium tour but the nice thing was you weren't escorted around the stadium by a guide so that you can take as long as you want during the tour. I highly recommend it to anyone - and especially supporters of Barcelona. The videos of the history and past goals is really wonderfully done.wco81 wrote:Haven't made it to Camp Nou or the Bernebau.

Granada is a really special place - went to the chapel beside the cathedral where you can see the tombs of Ferdinand and Isabel. It's quite incredible while I was standing there thinking that those were the monarchs that funded and sponsored Christopher Columbus' voyage. Alhambra was spectacular.
I was really impressed with Toledo as well - did a day trip from Madrid by Train. I was amazed at the weight of those full size swords they make there!
Best wishes,
Doug

Geez, Barca should have packed it home, they possessed the ball most of the game and had numerous chances. Xavi just had a great game. Arsene's gamble on Song instead of having Campbell in the back end was not a good one. Ibrahimovic just had to much time to score at the expense of Song's inexperience there. He could have easily scored a couple more. But Walcott's impact was huge for the hosts. They'll miss Fabregas for sure next time.
I love Soccernet;
"He was complaining of pain in his ankle and said he couldn't train.
"We'll have to talk with the doctors to see what's going on because at the moment we don't know. He has some pain and we will just analyse that with the doctor. It's the same ankle he did before.
"Some players maybe can manage with the pain, but some - when they have pain - cannot. When you talk of pain you never know, it depends on each individual and that makes it really difficult."
That's Benitez talking about Aquillani. The headline; "Frustrated Benitez has dig at crock Aquillani". Can't imagine what the media would say about Benitez if he threw a boot at Aquillani's head ala Sir Red Nose.
Anyway, nice offside goal by Drogba, though Chelsea should have had a stonewall penalty in the first half when Pedo Neville fouled Anelka. Arsenal pull it out at the end again - remind me a lot of Liverpool last season. Also like Liverpool they will end up with the same amount of Silverware.

Threw everything including the kitchen sink at Birmingham and still couldn't score. Ridgewell's goal was offside but thanks to Setanta for not showing a replay but then spending 5 minutes focusing on Gerrard's reaction to Torres (who was absolute naff today) getting subbed off. Nice clearance off the line by Aquillani....unfortunately it was the opposition`s goal line...molto bene paisan....
4th is City's to lose and honestly, I would much, much rather they finish 4th than Tottenham or Villa (can`t stand those two - mostly because of the managers).
