DSP WE League: Official Thread
Moderators: Bill_Abner, ScoopBrady
I'm sorry Mr. Met, but yes we are not allowing new members at this time. Each league season only takes about four weeks to complete, and in the one-week close season, we add new members, so you should be able to join once this Fourth Season is done. Keep an eye out for a 'Congratulations' thread announcing the current season winners. That is the thread where new members can sign up for the next season of the league.met34 wrote:well, I tried to follow directions, and I signed up for jasons league, but I did not pick any team, does it mean I am not included in this one. Sorry, I am newbie to this forum and the all league setup.

Just a note; not only are games to be reported into the SGN League site, but they must also be noted here in this thread. It's not necessary to write a detailed match report, but the score, the goal scorers, and any bookings (yellow or red) or injuries (yellow or red crosses) must be noted. This way if there are any problems entering the game info (eg your opponent hasn't added a player to his roster that scored a goal), I can go back and fix things later.azpaco wrote:My man, that was one great game! Congrats on the buzzer beater. Looking forward to getting another chance..
It doesn't matter who posts the game report here, but one of the opponents should do it soon after (otherwise you forget like me and never post it at all).

Here's a handy link to a gamefaq that has translations from Konami-speak for all the players and teams:

Arsenal v. Werder Bremen...
A heated battle saw Werder Bremen eek out a 2-0 victory over ahhhhrsenal. Klose kept up his world cup form sneaking one past the keeper in the 60th minute. Valdez added another later to give the Werder Bremen team some breathing room.
Arsenal fans now agree with wikipedia which states, " opposing fans regularly taunt Werder Bremen fans as Fischköppe (fishheads), alluding to offensive smell and limited intelligence " An arsenal fan who ran onto the field and strayed a little too close the ripe, challenged leader of WB commented this statement could also be made of WB manager Azpaco. Azpaco, when asked to reply to the fans insightful comment replied, "What does insightful mean? Do you smell anything ... funny?"
Good luck to Arsenal this year and it's coach!

Stuttgart falls to Bayern Munich 2-0
Stuttgart played host to Bayern tonight to open the season. The mid summer air was thick and one could feel possible rain in the forecast as 64,000 fans filed into the stadium to participate in beer drinking and football spectating.
The pace was quick from the first whistle with Stuttgart carrying the first few minutes of the match. Bayern reeled in some of that momentum and the game was played between the areas until midway through the first half when McKay headed in the perfect cross from 9 yards out.
Both teams saw chances as the first half continued slip away. Stuttgart had a few decent scoring opportunities which self destructed with poor shooting - while a Bayern corner found an unmarked man who headed the ball into the right post.
The second half was a fairly open affair. Bayern took advange of their speed advantage down the left channel which resulted in a few good crossing opportunities. Stuttgart flirted with great opportunities near the Bayern area but were unable to execute to level the match.
McKay struck again at the 81 minute mark for Bayern. Once again it was his head that put the ball in the net from a incoming cross from the left side of the pitch. McKay was able to fend off two Stuttgart defenders who were marking him tight to seal the victory.
Leebo - Great match tonight. I thought the game played very level outside of the 2 goals.
Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks.
