I agree on the putting, I see guys drain 80 foot putts with no issue. I've just never figured out the formula but my questions was more curiosity. For example with Madden when i start winning every game, I try to adjust sliders or find sliders that give me a good game. If I can win without a challenge it is no longer fun and i stop playing.

With TGC like you I can hit pretty much every fairway and green, just can't put. I probably miss 4-5 make able birdie putts a round and sometimes 3 or 4 putt greens from within 10 feet due to the physics. I just have to think if the game was just an exercise at this point and I knew I would fire a -10 every round would I even bother playing?

Only reason I play the society is it exposes me to new courses as I'm too lazy and not plugged into the community. So i REALLY appreciate the work you and Vader do. If I was playing to compete I would of stopped long ago as the scores that get put out are not even in the realm of reality.

Not that I hit double digits every round, but the reason it is still fun to me is that there is still competition even when you shoot a double digit under par round. I have definitely found out that no round is safe. On the other hand, It's funny how many times I figured I would get slaughtered and ended up being in the hunt.

Honestly if I were not competitive, I'm not sure if I would still be in the society. That's just me and my competitive side. But I guess it depends on what you are looking to get out of it.

But I do think that Vader should go to Master clubs ( And if you say you do use Master clubs, I quit)

It was also in Season 3 that I started having the problem where when I logged in the following day after a tournament, the game would show me results from a different tournament, and I couldn't see how I finished. Like I said, I'll just keep an eye out moving forward.

I've had this since launch, I never see the last tournament. Most of the time it is one that is a week old or more. I just thought it was happening to everyone.

It used to show the previous tourney results as soon as you logged in to the society but that has been messed up for awhile showing results from an earlier tourney or even a future tourney leaderboard with no results since it hasn't been played, you can view the full leaderboard results from any tourney in the current season on the schedule page.

I've been mixing master clubs in over the last couple of weeks but not yet ready to go to them full time, your 12 under score was posted as a final when I had 6 holes left and I thought I may have a chance to catch your score but not beat it but I had another eagle bounce in on a par 4 so that helped out and then was just playing it safe to hold par once I was one stroke over you but added a birdie on 18 to pad the lead a little.

Just adds to the fun when you are not only playing but chasing the leaderboard as well.

I've never tried to look for that, but I'll give it a try the next time out... here in a few minutes.

I just started this week's 72 hole tournament and could find no way to look at my personal statistics for that one course, in round or out of round. The only statistics available for for your total numbers, and averages based on total rounds played. This is definitely an area for improvement with this game.

You lucky dawg! Did you happen to play the original TGC with SkyTrack? I'd like to know if they made any improvements there, other than graphics. I'd love to see a video of how the SkyTrack works with the game. I've seen vids of Perfect Golf with Trackman and it looks pretty good. Do the actions required to select club, aim shot, select shot type, grab club out of bag walk back over to ball, and swing the club ever get to be a bit tedious?

Oh, how long is the delay between the time you actually make contact with the ball and the time it takes to see the ball taking flight on the screen? I've seen some setups where it seems to take 6 to 8 seconds to happen and I would think that would disrupt the continuity, at least for me.

I like chasing scores myself, sometimes even to see just how close I can get to the lead throughout the round. I'm always amazed at how often people chip in for birdies in this game though. We have some deadly chippers in DSP, but I also find this to be pretty common in Casuals Golf Club and the TGC Tours CC Tour in which I play. I'm among the bottom quartile when it comes to chipping in!

I did play the OG TGC on SkyTrak and this is a big step up. Graphically obviously but the physics has improved. Also, on the OG TGC there was only one set of tees and you could not set green speeds etc. On TGC 2019 you have all different tees, options to set green speed/firmness, fairway firmness, wind, etc. just like in the console version. It’s identical. The way you play is exactly like the console. You set up you shot by aiming where you want to hit and then simply execute the shot. The SkyTrak nabs all the info needed to set the shot in motion...spin rate, launch/swing angle, etc. Putting is the same thing. Set your aiming point and then execute a real swing to mimic the distance. There is about a 1-2 second delay but I actually like that. I have a 43” TV adjacent to me so after I execute the shot into my NetReturn I simply look at the TV screen and watch the shot get simulates. Like I said, I’ll upload a video or two soon.

Here is a guide on how to find your previous scores for a course, I am using my rounds at TPC Sawgrass here as an example:

When your match is ready to start or anytime in the menus during a round will also work, click Add Player




Select Add Ghost




Using the left trigger sort by My Rounds




Now all of your scores from that course are listed with the tees/pins you played

It was viewable to me John, nice setup Diablo. I know if I have that toy I would never go back to the golf range. Now, Does it happen often to not have your shot registered during that putting sequence or just a glitch at that point?

Shots not registering don’t happen a lot. Often times it’s because the ball wasn’t placed on the laser dot.

I'd forgotten that the game provides you with so much feedback on the clubhead speed, path and angle with a simulator. Looks like you've got a good thing going on there with your setup. That's got to help you IRL game, right? I simply don't have a room or a space in my home that would support a SkyTrak or a Trackman, even if I could justify the expenditure on the hardware, but I would no doubt get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

I think the problem is I'm using Chrome... I recall that happening to me before here with embedded You Tube links. I've seen it now... Diablo's a lucky bugger isn't he?

Luckily my garage has 10 foot ceilings. It definitely helps. It’s great to warm up before a round, rainy or snowy days.
