Nexus 7 w/ HSPA+ cellular...if the iPad Mini can't cut it, this is the way to go. $299 for 32gb. WAY cheaper than the mini ($559 w/ cellular for the 32gb) and higher resolution. Interesting.

They need to get apps, to make better use of the space in the big screens and to support the high DPI.
I consider all 10" Android tablets worthless...they just can't even come close to competing with the iPad so there is no reason to get one. The 7" still has advantages over the iPad counterpart...specifically that ridiculous price gap. 260 bucks, that is just insane.
What are some of your latest thoughts in regards to tablets? Is the nexus 7 still something that you would recommend? Are their new products that you'd give the nod to?
Hey guys. Haven't posted here in a while but I need some help. My HP touchpad Just suffered a cracked screen. I don't really want to spend hundred bucks to fix it but would rather get a more up-to-date and modern tablet. I am looking to spend around $300 for a new or refurbished 10 inch tablet What would you guys recommend? I saw a deal for a Toshiba Excite 16 GB on woot.com for $250 for a refurb. Is this a good deal?
My bad Jack, I had Motorola in the brain from reading about the Nexus X phone which is made by Motorola. Anyways my comment still stands. The Nexus 10 is the superior product.
I am rethinking this and maybe I should consider a small laptop or a netbook?
I use my tablet 95% of the time at home on the couch or at work at my desk
and the thing I really dislike about the tablet is typing anything longer than a sentence
on the touchscreen. You really miss the real keyboard when you are typing a lot.
I post a lot to other forums and write emails and things and maybe I would be better
off with a small, slim laptop or netbook? I mostly use my tablet for browsing and email.
what do u guys think? What about a chromebook?
Edit: found some new IPad 2's on flea bay for $350. Maybe that may be the best bet if I want to stay around $300?

The 8" mini with a 4:3 ratio will feel bigger for web browsing than 7" 16:9 tablet, though web browsing can still be a little cramped. How Apple sells it; http://youtu.be/bgWKJPtec4w?t=10m05s
I also don't really see any type of laptop as a substitute for a tablet, but I guess if you're doing A LOT of typing it might be better for you.

Wouldnt I be better of with a new Ipad2 10" for $350?
Edit: found a refurb Galaxy Tab 2 from newegg for $260? Should I go for that?
anyone try any of these 4? The Nexus 7 gets glowing reviews from everywhere. My only concern is the smaller screen size. I mostly use my tablet at home to surf and post to forums The Galaxy Tab2 gets medicre reviews and most sites believe it wasn't much of an upgrade from the original. And the Ipad2 we all know is a proven winner.
