Just wanted to note that I've awarded 0-0 draws to both remaining games in Season Three. If either of these games is played before Season Four starts, we can get the correct score in, but neither result mattered to the standings.

New members of the league should make sure to peruse the first post of this long thread. It includes all the game rules and settings, and the basic setup of the league.

Also, make sure you visit the SGN League site:

http://www.sportsgamingnation.com/sgnleagues/index.php

Jason hasn't advanced the home page link to Season Four yet, but you can bring up season four using the little tab on the right once you're in the DSP WE League page.

New members must create an account at the SGN League site. Jason should be able to get you set up and ready to go in a couple of days if it doesn't happen automatically. If you have any problems, PM myself or Jason here at DSP. Make sure you let me know what your username is at the SGN League site so that I can get it straight over there. Right now, Jason set up Season Four with the names I gave him.

Once you have an account, you can take control of your team by clicking on the team's name to get to the team's page. On the team page, your name should be indicated as the 'owner.' If there is a 'manage team' link on your team's page, you should click this link, and if the 'owner' matches your profile, you will be able to take control of that team and input game scores, add players to the team roster, etc.

It looks unlikely I will be ready to get the schedule up by Sunday night. If I can get it done by Monday night, we'd start play and set the deadline two weeks from tomorrow (Sunday). Otherwise, we'll delay the start for a week.

Oh yeah, one more thing: teams whose stadium is not in the game are free to select a stadium they wish to use as their home grounds. Just let me know in this thread.

Thanks!

Yes,the entire league will participate in the tourney, once I get it going. We will have to have a 16/17 game among the Div. Three teams (most likely a randomly drawn matchup, although if ddtrane doesn't show up and post again in the team draw, he may get an automatic spot in that 16/17 game). After that game, there would be a random draw for matchups in the round of 16.

OK guys, we are nearly ready to get the season going. I should be able to get the first-half schedules up tonight or tomorrow night at the latest.

Fsquid, FabulousBastard, fanatic, StCloud and Azpaco, you guys need to give me the home stadium you'd like to use for this season.

Just to get going, here is the result of the draw for the 16/17 game of the Inaugural DSP WE League Cup. The two teams were randomly selected from the Third Division:
  • AC Milan v. Arsenal
AC Milan is thus the home team. The game settings are the same for the tourney as for the league games, including season (summer) and weather (random). You do not have to play this game right away, but try to get it in by the end of the week so we can go ahead and get the brackets drawn for the Round of 16. Make sure to write down the goal scorers, as well as any bookings (yellow or red) and injuries (yellow or red crosses); we should have something set up at the SGN League site to report Cup games, but we may not have this 16/17 game over there, so note those stats here (actually that should go for all games, League and Cup, as we all know. . . 8) ).

If it were in the game, you wouldn't have a choice in the matter. I'm pretty sure they play at the Veltins Arena, the new stadium in Gelsenkirchen where the USA lost to the Czechs 3-0.

Guys, I got some notes from Jason regarding our league at the SGN League site.

ddtrane needs to create an account as SGN League site.

stcloud needs to create an account at SGN League site.

Azpaco needs to create an account at SGN League site.

Did fanatic create an account called crucialmike00? Someone by that name clicked on the 'Manage Team' link for Fiorentina. If so, he's all set too.

Also I noticed fsquid need to take control of his shiny new team.

New members, make sure to note your XBL gamertag so we can get on each others' friends list. Also if you use AIM, post that ID. A lot of us use that to get games going (it's kind of sort of like having a real 360 game that way. . . ).

OK gang. The first-half schedule is up at the SGN League site for the Fourth Season of the DSP WE League. The deadline for first-half games is Sunday, September 3.

Please try to get your first-half games in by the deadline. Extensions will be liberally granted, but must be requested. Make sure to check the game settings listed in the first post of this thread. The 'season' setting is Summer for this Fourth Season. Pay attention to who is home (home team is listed first), and make sure to note goal scorers, bookings, and injuries.

Have fun, and play fair!
