Seahawks will miss the services of Bruce Irvin big time. Good pick up for the Raiders.

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Wait what? All they did was trade down from the #8 pick to the #13 pick...they didn't send anything EXTRA out. They just took on salary. Still a questionable move, but not nearly as bad as you are making it out to be.pk500 wrote:The Dolphins have been idiots so far, and I love it. Mario Williams is incredibly overrated, and Kiko Alonso is an injury waiting to happen. Trading away two first-round picks for Maxwell and Alonso -- both very diminished players -- is a panic move.
The steal for the Dolphins so far is Abdul-Quddus, the safety from the Lions. Sticking him next to Rashad Jones is going to be nice on the back end. If Kiko, a year removed from his ACL now, is back to his 2013-2014 Bills form, I'll be fine with it. Most people haven't had the pleasure of watching the Dolphins Linebackers over the past 4 years since Karlos Dansby left...it's been an absolute travesty. Same thing w/ the defensive back since Sean Smith and Vonte Davis were shipped out. So Maxwell, even if he's just a #2 or #3 DB...he's still better than everyone else on the roster.
The Vernon situation...I'm of the opinion that they still should have signed Mario as he's a much better run stopper than both Wake and Vernon. That said, they picked the wrong DE to keep. They should have franchised Vernon and worked out the long term deal and released Wake. Wake is just not going to be the same guy coming back from an achilles injury...and he's 32...and on the downside of his career. In contrast, Vernon is on the upswing at only 25 years old. He takes some stupid penalties, nearly every game, so it'll be good to see that gone, but losing him is going to hurt much more than if they had just let Wake go.
I really question your football knowledge. You like to regurgitate headlines and stories that the media makes up. Watch some games, and actually pay attention...Suh was quite good last year. Not worth his price (no one could ever be), but that dude did his job. The rest of the team failed. Suh's job is to take up blocks and cause havoc so the linebackers can do their job, which as you may or may not know (I'm guessing the latter), they are paid to be the leading tacklers. It's not good when Rashad Jones consistently leads the team in tackles. That's a failure on the linebacking group.Rodster wrote:The Dolphins salary cap became a joke when he signed Suh who pretty much was a non-factor last year. They let Olivier Vernon go in his prime and signed an unproductive Super Mario.

What in the???
Rams get the #1 pick - is this for Carson Wentz? How good is this guy?The Rams gave up their No. 15 pick in this year’s draft as well as two second-round picks, a third-round pick and their first- and third-round picks next year.

Good luck. Neither Wentz or Goff are going to be franchise QBs and trading THAT many picks. Oh my. Titans have to be downright giddy w/ that haul. Unreal.MizzouRah wrote:Rams get the #1 pick - is this for Carson Wentz? How good is this guy?

Exactly. This is a panic move by a stumbling franchise desperate to make headlines in a market that subsists on vapid hopes and prayers.dbdynsty25 wrote:Good luck. They didnt learn anything from the Redskins trade with them? or watch this movie?
PR moves are not good for your future winning.

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Yup and at least RG3 was then viewed as a can't miss legit franchise QB. Since I don't follow the Lambs I don't know how they did with all of Washington's draft picks but man everyone of the draft analyst are not high on any of these 1st rd QB's. If they wanted a PR move they should have brought in Johnny Football so he could tear up the League.....again.XXXIV wrote: I didnt like it.

I agree that it's a gamble but no one really knows what this kid can do. I love everything I've heard about him but there are a lot of unknowns. Definitely will be interesting to watch.

The original Legion of Boom will be reunited in Seahawks land as Browner will get the secondary a boost. Hope he doesn't get caught up smoking pot again...

The Rams have been outdone by the Eagles as they just gave the Browns a haul of picks this year and in 2017 to move up to the number 2 spot for the choice of two non franchise QB's.

That's insane! Are these QBs worth all these picks?? I sure hope whomever the Rams pick is a HUGE bust.dbdynsty25 wrote:After signing Bradford to a huge 2 year deal and Chase Daniel a 3 year. Re: NFL 2015-16 season
I just read a story on how the Raiders turnaround has really gone....the Football Gods absolutely smiled on them the day they stood pat and let the Texans take Clowney #1 overall, and then Mack fell into their laps.
They sat back and watched the Texans pass on the opportunity to draft Derek Carr, and then they take him at pick 36. All he did was surpass Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson for TD passes in his first 2 seasons, trailing only Dan Marino. They got Gabe Jackson and TJ Carrie and Mario Edwards Jr. the same year, and in the "NFL Draft 2014 Re-do", 3 of the Raiders' draft picks went in the top 15.
Then Amari Cooper last year was the best rookie WR I've ever seen until he hurt his leg and literally played on one leg the second half of the season. The Raiders just sat there and picked up all of their franchise pieces....and then you see how much teams are willing to give up to find them, even if they're questionable at best.
Football and the draft is a crazy f'n sport. I can't remember one time that mortgaging so many draft picks actually worked out for the team giving them up. There are tons of times throughout history where the team trading back made out like a bandit, though.

Maybe Sam Hinkie is related to the Eagles GM.dbdynsty25 wrote:After signing Bradford to a huge 2 year deal and Chase Daniel a 3 year. Clowney has been the worst Texans first round pick ever.TCrouch wrote:I just read a story on how the Raiders turnaround has really gone....the Football Gods absolutely smiled on them the day they stood pat and let the Texans take Clowney #1 overall, and then Mack fell into their laps.

Texans did not draft Carr because of the David Carr hangover which they still have.
Texans have never and will never go to a SB until they do the following:
1) Draft a franchise QB (Osweiler is not the answer)
2) Hire the right Head Coach
3) Develop a shutdown defense
1&2 are not happening and 3 is coming together. But I don't think they will have enough offense to compete. Yes, you win championships with defense, but it doesn't hurt to have an offense that can control the clock and score TD's more often than GFG's. Too bad Houston could not have made better choices with their QB's as I fear that JJ Watt will never see a SB as a player unless he is traded and I do not see the Texans trading him ever. That being said, I thought Andre Johnson would never be traded from Houston.....
Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Oh yeah, I understand exactly why Houston didn't pick Carr...just like how the Raiders wouldn't let anybody wear #2 after Jamarcus was let go. It's just crazy how the planets aligned perfectly for them.
