The once 7-0 Philadelphia Eagles blow another two score lead in the second half against the never-say-die Washington Redskins Sunday. Many NFL pundits had the Eagles ranked as high as #2 in the league earlier in the season, so it comes as a surprise to many that they have fallen so quickly.
"I remember dropping 50 pts on the Chiefs earlier in the year and thought, hey, this DSP Official stuff is easy" said a shaken Donovan McNabb after the game. "I had little faith in my defense which is why I called for the pass on the last drive" said Andy Reid. All the credit goes to coach Zep - that final drive was a thing of beauty and totally clutch. The Redskins won't go away and are right back into the middle of things in the NFC East. "We went back to Joe Gibbs style football baby" said and exuberant coach Zeppo at the games conclusion. The Redskins TOP was tremendous owning a nearly 4 to 1 edge.
The Eagles still control their destiny, but almost need to win out to make the playoffs. "We still have games with Gamese7en (Giants) and BHoward (Cowboys)" so it's not over said Brian Westbrook. The margin of error for the Eagles is almost nil as the competitive NFC East rivals beat up on each other.
Despite 4 straight losses some Eagles still have an usual swagger heading into the game with the NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons. "They aint played nobody" said a defiant Asante Samuel. Coach Reid wasnt happy with his star DB providing bulletin board material for the Falcons and took offense to the comments. “They’ve beaten a couple teams that have beaten us.” Alluding to Atlanta wins over Chicago (RobVarek) and the NFC East's own Dallas Cowboys (BHoward).

Looks like you guys will decide the divison in games head to head. Should be fun to see who pulls it out.
TheGamer2 wrote:I could really do without the added pressure

Its a fantastic race coming down the stretch. From what I can tell the NFC East will likely send two teams to the playoffs. The other wildcard team will come from the less competitive NFC North (Robvarak's Bears and Data Badger's Vikings are battling for the division title).
HogzTheTruth (Atlanta) is poised to win the South and XXXIV34 is going to win the West. Those guys have the benefit of playing in divisions without other human controlled teams.
From what I'm hearing most feel the AFC (top to bottom) is the better conference.

Looks like we have 2 games left for this week, I was hoping to advanced early for once instead of staying up til midnight
We're going to slow the schedule down just a tad for the playoffs cause I want to try and do some pre-game build up etc.

The Browns take care of the Bengals on the road 38-13.
Cleveland struggled with what is usually a decent running attack until late in the game when they finally wore the Cincy D down and Jerome Harrison came in to get a few carries.
Harrison finished with 70yds of 8 carries with 1 TD.
Quinn was 15-22 for 185 yds and 3 Tds with 1 INT.
Jamal made up for his lack luster rushing game with 6 catches for 86 yds including one he broke for 47 yds spinning past a lonely DB and making his way to pay dirt.
Edwards and Cribbs caught the other two TD passes.
TE Steve Heiden caught one pass before going down with a broken collar bone. He will be out 5 weeks.
FINALLY I put the CPU away like I should be able to. I changed some things up defensively when I got the big lead. Palmer threw 3 picks including one that was returned.

The Indianapolis Colts stay in the hunt for the AFC South with a 13-7 win over the Houston Texans. The Colts defensive unit shut the Texans down for most of the game allowing only 122 total yards, while the Colts offense kept the Houston offense off the field by holding onto the football for more than 20 minutes.
After the Texans missed a 43-yard field goal on their opening drive, it was all Colts until the fourth quarter. Indianapolis drove down the field methodically, setting up 13-yard touchdown run by Donald Brown. The Texans managed to move the ball into Colts territory on their following drive, but Indianapolis safety Bob Sanders leveled tight end Owen Daniels on a big hit, jarring the ball loose for the first Houston turnover. In the second quarter, Houston quarterback Matt Schaub was picked off on a deep pass attempt to Kevin Walter, and the Colts took advantage by getting in position for a late field goal and a 10-0 halftime lead.
While the Houston defense kept the score within reach, Peyton Manning and Donald Brown continued to control the pace of the game in the third quarter, allowing Indianapolis to add another field goal to make it 13-0. Manning was an efficient 11 of 17 for 150 yards, making some key throws just before the Houston rush could reach him. Brown kept the chains moving with 68 yards on the ground and 43 yards receiving.
The Texans finally managed to breathe some life into their offense, moving the ball down the field and scoring on a 13-yard touchdown throw from Schaub to Walter to cut the lead to 13-7 with just under five minutes remaining. Houston would not touch the ball again, however, as Indianapolis continued to drive with time-killing precision, converting a crucial third down on a Manning pass to receiver Austin Collie to keep the Colts offense on the field. After Brown made a first down after the two-minute warning, the Colts ran out the clock and moved to 6-5 on the year.
Indianapolis hosts the 8-3 Titans next week in a crucial divisional game, while the Texans attempt to get their first win against a human opponent against the Jaguars, who are also in the divisional race at 7-4.

Nice game, Badgun. Solid D and great ball control. Good luck the rest of the way.

After a string of close games the Broncos got the benefit of the hapless Chiefs on the road and it would be just what the doctor ordered. Denver was able to rack up 122 yards on the ground, 201 in the air and hold the ball for over 26 minutes to the Chiefs 5 and walk out of Arrowhead with a 34-6 victory.
[NO HIGHLIGHTS BECAUSE MY GAME IS NOT ALLOWING ME HIHGLIGHTS OVER 10 SECONDS FOR SOME REASON]
The Broncos opened the scoring with a 43 yard screen pass from Orton to McAllister. Orton then found Brandon marshall for a 7 yard striek later in the quarter.
Whil Moren rushed for 93 yards and Deuce 20, it was Hills who score Denvers only rushing touchdown. Orton would find Scheffler for his 3rd touchdown pass of the day in the 3rd quarter.
The Chief lone score came on an 80 yard pitch and catch from Cassle to Bowe when champ Bailey fell down on the play. Prater hit two 22yard field goals to cap the scoring for the Broncos.
While Elvis was finally back in the building it was recent Free Agent pickup Travis LaBoy who was a terror for the Chiefs notching two sacks and spending most of the day in Cassels face.
Denver travels to Indy next week, followed by the Raiders, Philly and finally the Chiefs again. They will have to win out for any hope of making the playoffs.

Falcons took care of the pesky visiting Bucs 38-13. After some close wins the Falcons took care of business in the second half to break open a close game that went into halftime with a Falcon 21-13 lead.
Falcons gave the Bucs a heavy dose of Michael Turner - he finished with 158 yards on 20 carries and 2 TD's. Matt Ryan was very efficient as well...going 5-8 for 186 yards and 3 TD's.
Second half saw Atlanta have a couple sustained drives that kept the Buc offense on the sidelines and the Falcons defense finally made some 3rd down stops.
Next up are the visiting Eagles.

Saints 7 - Redskins 28
After their emotionally draining, come from behind victory in Philadelphia, the Washington Redskins returned home and easily dispatched the CPU New Orleans Saints 28-7. Outgaining their opponents 335yds to 270yds (a good 85 of which came for the Saints on their last drive against a soft shell), the Skins saw career days from Antwan Randle El (6 REC, 116yds, 3TDs) and Brian Orakpo, who had three sacks.

Randle El took advantage of his slot positioning and aggressive, blitzing defense all day, including this 2nd quarter 49yd TD catch.
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Brian Orakpo with one of his three sacks of Drew Brees on the day.
Clinton Portis gained 102 yds on 17 carries for a 6yd per carry average, but Ledell Betts got the only rushing TD at the end of a long drive in the first quarter.
The score was 21-7 at the half, and the game was never really close, as the Saints defense had no answer for the run or the pass of the Redskins' offense. A key play was this fumble caused by a hit by Laron Landry and recovered by Cornelius Griffin.

Free safety Laron Landry continues the hard hitting play fans have become accustomed to this season with another forced fumble.
Even though the Saints gained 13 first downs to the Redskins 14, and the TOP was very even, the Skins dominated the game from the first possession, as evidenced by their conversion of two of their three third downs while New Orleans went 5-10 on third downs. The only time the Saints got into the red zone was on the final drive with a few seconds to go, with the score already 28-7 and the Skins playing a very soft, cover-4 shell. That possession ended in an interception on a pass from the 3 yard line by London Fletcher in the endzone.
The Redskins are now 8-4, and with four games remaining still need help if they hope to make the playoffs.

I picked up Live in the Toys r Us deal and it is amazing what you can do with replays in that game, every other EA sports product puts Madden to shame. In live you can set track point and then in between each point you can choose what angle, camera type zoom etc.
As an example I save a 3 point shot last night, set the track markers. In the first one I zoomed in on the player and kept it on him to release. I then cut to a shot from the sideline opposite ht player looking at the basket and tracking the ball until it went in, I then cut on the this point to a behind the play view and focused on the defenders reaction.
Amazing, just can't believe Madden is behind in so many areas.

No it won't you'll need to replay it, the league can see how many times a game was restarted.Nozzleman_216 wrote:I was just playing the CPU Chargers and had a grumpy 3 yr old manage to shutoff my console with the Xbox remote. I was losing in the 4th. Will it pick up where the game left off???

Raiders 31, Steelers 0
No fancy write up, sorry.
Oakland dominated the game on the ground, with both Darren McFadden and Michael Bush going over 100 yards on the day (McFadden 17 att 111 yards, Bush 14 att 108 yards and 2 TDs).
Pittsburgh gained just 82 yards on the day, as Ben Roethlisberger completed just 3 of 9 passes for 52 yards, 1 INT, and a 14.4 rating. Counterpart Jeff Garcia was 9 of 10 for 126 yards, 2 TDs, and a 158.3 rating. He never even attempted a throw in the 2nd half as the Raiders ran out the entire second half after building a 24-0 halftime lead. The Steelers ran just 3 plays in the entire second half.
It was just an ugly game. Darrius Heyward-Bey led receivers with 5 catches for 98 yards and both TD's, while Pitt's leading receiver was Willie Parker with 1 catch for 42 yards at the end of the first half.
Pitt had more than half of its offensive yards on the last play before halftime. It was just a terrible day for the Steelers.
Sorry about that, Mark. Thanks for bein' a good sport. I know that couldn't have been a joy to play through. Something needs to be done about these quarter lengths
