Leebo33 wrote:Squid, I am really sorry. I'm not sure why we can't connect. I haven't had this problem before, although I did have the same problem with Jack last night. It's strange because I've played Fabulous and FIFA between our problems. My screen says "invite accepted" on the friends list, but it won't let the game start. It says "no response received returning to Optimatch" or something like that.

I'm going to recycle my modem and router tonight just to try it.
Leebo, I've gotten the same stuff as you've gotten both nights that we've tried to play. I played Bastard after we quit trying, so it might just be our systems for some reason.

Zeppo, if we can't connect do we just call our two matches draws?

Fifa and I have gotten an error like that before... I forget what we did (if anything) to fix it. Fifa, you remember?

I do remember. We bypassed our routers and had no problems connecting after that.

If you're going through routers it could be your NAT setting. Are they both "open"?

Zep... I'm going to have to flake on you tonight. We have a friend coming into town.

Thursday's out too, but Friday or most of the weekend would be fine.

Piggy... same availability goes to you when you get back.

No worries, we should be able to find some time this weekend. Plus, I'm sure we will have the traditional one-week season extension . . . . maybe.

Both of you should run the network test in the dashboard's system blade. If you NAT is not open, you will have occasional problems connecting with other users. If both of you have NAT open readings, then I don't know what you should do.

Thanks! I'll check tonight. That's got to be it. If that doesn't work I can easily bypass the router.

Any chance you can play at 10PM Squid?

I can't bypass my router due to the old home I live in. But, I will run that utility. Leebo, I can go at 10

No problem. If the baby is dry and not hungry then it was probably gas :D

I checked my NAT and it said "moderate." I have no idea how to change it, but the next time we try to play I'm just going to do the direct connection and skip the router before I even login.

The only way I know to change it is to set up a DMZ on your router, assign a fixed IP to your xbox, and put it in the DMZ.

Mine was set to moderate and that changed mine to open.

Is it the default? Just Google the name of your router and then "default IP address."

I tried the default one and got nothing. Don't know how it would have changed though, I certainly haven't screwed with it.

Manchester City Eeks Out Win At Home

Post by Zeppo »

Manchester City 1 : 0 Stuttgart

Manchester City narrowly defeated visitors Stuttgart 1-0 behind a first half goal from Fowler. The goal came in the 34th minute after Reyna had the ball tackled away from him at the top of the box. The ball came out to Fowelr, some 25 yards away, and he rocketed a fierce, low, left-footed shot past the Stuttgart keeper and inside the near post. As a whole, the match was uneventful. City carried the play for the entier first half, but could only find the nets that one time. The second half saw Stuttgart come very close a couple of times, and City nearly doubled their lead more than once, but in the end Fowler's goal was the only line in the match report. No bookings, no injuries, just the one goal.

Manchester City 1 : 0 Stuttgart

SoG 14 : 6
SOT 5 : 3
Corners 1 : 2
Fouls 5 (10) : 7 (8 )
Offside 5 : 1
Posession 61 : 39

Good game, FIFA, and good luck the rest of the way! Come the end of the season, something makes me think that we won't be seeing Stuttgart again, and that FIFA will have a whole new squad to discover. . . .

Was it the screaming? Or when he threw the controller at the dog?

Barcelona 1 Stuttgart 1

game was very even with both teams getting some good chances.
shots were low, but when they came, they were very good opportunities.
both teams scored in the first half, but then play was a bit more cautious in the second half, as niether team wanted to make a mistake leading to the 2nd goal for the other team.

p.s. FIFA.....what was the name of your goal scorer again? I updated the score but not your scorer's name.
