Nobody is doing all that PS3 to PSP connectivity that Sony talked about are they? Like having PSP serve as controller with a dedicated screen so people playing a football game have their own gameplay screens.
Or they said PS3 was going to do some processing and send data to PSP.
The new ones have a video out, but mine doesn't.
I was thinking more along the lines of wireless connectivity, maybe it's not even technically possible, but it would be cool to just sit in the room with my PSP and have my PS3 on and see the PSP game on the screen. I'm not techy enough to know if that's even doable.

You might be able to stream some low-quality video wirelessly but Sony probably wants you to buy a new PSP instead.
I see PSP games for download at the Playstation Store? But I think those are for downloading to a memory card and loading onto the PSP.
If they can emulate a PS2 in software, they may be able to do the same for PSP. But of course, there's really no way to load a UMD onto a PS3, unless they let you install it to the HDD over wireless.

I know the Six-Axis control setting is worthless but using the controller normally is just fine. No rumble hurts but I've been able to move past that and love the game.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.
Some new info on UT, which by the way will run at 60fps. I've never played a UT game before, but there appears to be a large following for this game. Isn't it your standard run of the mill FPS?

Yah I played some Rez last night and the rumble really makes you feel like you are in rhythm.... Too bad no rumble. Oh well.

Nope; control is pretty spot on, but if you are expecting Need For Speed type controls, then I guess you are in for a surprise. I tried the Sixaxis controls, which do work, but take a whole lot of getting use to in order to be even half way decent. If you want a solid racing game that leans towards the simulation side of things, then F1 is an easy buy recommendation.
I wonder if they did some marketing research study regarding the Play Tv. It just doesn't seem like an intelligent move on Sony's behalf. The ability to transfer your shows to the PSP is cool, but other than that I'm more than happy with my Tivo and Directv DVR.
Tried the F1 demo last night. I don't really like it. I did okay (came in 2nd in 2 races), but the driving just doesn't feel right to me. Maybe that's how F1 really drives. I will probably skip it and get Resistance and MLB (if I can find it cheap).

No its a good assesment, the control just isnt tight enough to do it justice. But i put up with it as its still better than most just not as precise as an f1 car needs to be.
Wonder if the developers consulted with any drivers at all.
That's why I wrote it doesn't "feel" right to me, with 0 experience. Some sims feel better than others. That's all. I don't like the way the cars turn, and maybe that's perfectly realistic.

I would guess the handling in a video game is more likely to be way more tolerant than real car handling, because the skill required to drive race cars at high speed is a skill most people don't have.
If they made it too realistic, then it would discourage people from buying and playing the games.
But then again, a lot of NASCAR drivers seem to really be avid about some PC games, even claiming it helps them learn the real life tracks or practice for them. One of those was Earnhardt Jr. but isn't he way back in the standings? Maybe he should practice more on the real tracks.
I once tried the F355 arcade game from Sega and was spinning out all the time. It didn't handle at all like their other arcade racing games, which I used to do okay in.
Nope, but I think what I said is pretty fair - it is more of a simulation type game than a NFS type game. I am sure there are better F1 simulations on the market (maybe PC based), but from a console gamer point of view, I think this is an excellent game.
