I'm still fighting a cold so I'm not sure. 11 or 11:30 starting time is probably about it. As long as I'm not playing anyone else in WE or NCAA leagues, and you see me on feel free to send me a message or an invite. The same pretty much applies for tomorrow as well.

LAZIO 3-0 JUVENTUS

27 shots 8
12 on 3
6 fk 5
6 ck 2
5 f 6
1 os 0
60 % 40

Rocchi 49' Muzzi 81' E. Filippini 86'

With Paolo DiCanio out with injury and Cesar on the bench feeling his gray arrow, the Lazio faithful thought they would see another lackluster performance out on the pitch today, and their sentiments surely could not have changed by half-time, as a dogged Juve keeper stood on his head to parry everything Lazio threw his way. Rocchi's strike four minutes into the second frame calmed tense nerves, but it would be over 30min. later that Muzzi's tally could really give the side confidence of winning, confidence that surely inspired Filippini's insurance goal five minutes later.

Good game, phillip!

How about 10:30 EDT?

edit: I didn't hear from you yet. I may be on later, but I'm not sure what time.

Guys, I am going to be out of town until next Friday. After that I look forward to playing out the second half.

Hey D1, someone let Jimmy win a game.....I think he is getting close to suicide watch.

Man City Ends Drought, Scores Six on Barca

Post by Zeppo »

Manchester City FC broke out of their socring slump with a commanding 6-0 victory at home over struggling Barcelona behind Andy Cole's break-out hat trick. Three City players scored their first goals of the season, including the hat-trick hero, and the team scored four times in a half for the first time.

City wasted no time getting onto the board when Cole put a header off a cross from the left from Musampa past the Barca keeper in the 10th minute. Fifteen minutes later, Claudio Reyna opened his account with a well struck blast from 30yds just inside the post. In the 35th minute Fowler, who was nursing a yellow injury through most of the first half, made no mistake with a 6yd angled shot after some nifty passing broke open the Barca defense in the box. The tackle from Belletti that caused the injury to Fowler was rewarded with a yellow card for the Italian. Cole added another with an explosive one-timer from 10yds after more nice passing down the right side found Sinclair in the box, ready to set up the striker's shot with the short pass.

The anxious Barca players had to wait on the field for a few minutes before the hosts returned to the pitch with the only change being Vassel on for the injured Fowler. In the 68th minute, the sub made his presence felt with a nice finish at the top of the box that came off of a turnover. Three minutes later, Andy Cole completed his hat trick and capped the scoring with a blast in the 71st minute, making the score 6-0 and sending the home fans into a frenzy.

Man City 6 : 0 Barcelona

SoG 16 : 9
SoT 11 : 2
Corners 3 : 2
Fouls 6 (8 ) : 4 (5)
Offside 2 : 1
Posession 56 : 44

Yellow Cards: Belletti
Inj.: Fowler (yellow cross)

Scoring:

Man City: A. Cole 10', 41', 71'; Reyna 25'; Fowler 35'; Vassel 68'

The roll on the Fowler injury was a 3, so he misses zero games.

Good game Jack. Good luck the rest of the way, and keep on pluggin away!

Man City, B. Munich Play To a Draw

Post by Zeppo »

B. Munchen 1 : 1 Manchester City FC

Manchester City visited Bayern Munich in a battle of mid-table teams, and each squad could only produce one goal apiece. The visitors were content to play a counter attack game in the first half, defending without pressuring and looking for the quick break. The game was scoreless at halftime, but a hairless Ze Roberto broke the ice in th 68th minute with a shot that James had no chance to stop. Things were looking desparate for the visitors when second half substitute Vassel was able to draw a foul near the top of the box in minute 80. Reyna stepped up to the dead ball 19M away from goal and struck a perfectly lofted shot over the wall, under the bar, and past the mighty Kahn, equalizing the game. Despite frantic chances for both sides in the remaining ten minutes, niether team could find the nets again, and the game ended 1-1.

B. Munchen 1 : 1 Manchester City FC

SoG 10 : 6
SoT 3 : 4
Corners 0 : 2
Fouls 8 : 3 (6)
Offside: 0 : 3
Posession 45 : 55

Good game, Leebo. This is two draws in our two games. Hmm. Good luck the rest of the way, and I'm sure I'll see you in the next season!

I'm thinking about picking up a subscription to Live just so I can play in the next season with you guys. Sounds like a tonne of fun.

One question- Can I guarantee myself a spot in the next one?

Thanks

I can play tonight through Thursday night (starting from 10-11 PM EDT or possibly earlier) and then maybe Saturday night or Sunday morning/afternoon.

I need to play squid twice, Jack, and Pigpen (who I believe is away until the weekend).

Guys,
I'm leaving town Saturday morning and not returning for a week, so I have to get my remaining games played this week.
I believe just off the top of my head, that the only two games I have left are against Jared and Jimmydeicide.

Let me know when you can play, guys, and we can work something out.

Feyenoord 1 - Barcelona 0

Shots 24/5
SOG 12/3
FK 3/8
Cor 6/1
Foul 8/3
Off 3/1
Pos 54/46

Kalou 88'

Tough, tough game. And a good one Jack, thanks again. Valdez was a superhero. there was a force field around the Barcelona goal. Finally, in the 88th minute, Kalou launched an improbable shot from the outside corner of the penalty box over the arms of Valdez and into the far corner of the net.

A narrow win. Hoffs sat out his one game suspension for having gotten 2 yellows in previous matches.

Feyenoord 0 - AC Milan 0

Shots 15/9
SOG 10/3
FK 4/7
Cor 4/3
Foul 7/4
Off 0/1
Pos 54/46

Another tough one. Kuyt and Kaka both decided to take their teams on their shoulders and carry them to the win. Unfortunately they both sucked.

Squid, I am really sorry. I'm not sure why we can't connect. I haven't had this problem before, although I did have the same problem with Jack last night. It's strange because I've played Fabulous and FIFA between our problems. My screen says "invite accepted" on the friends list, but it won't let the game start. It says "no response received returning to Optimatch" or something like that.

I'm going to recycle my modem and router tonight just to try it.
