Of course, Man U didn't need Tevez, not good enough for them.
Couldn't afford him, more like

Good news about Dempsey. No operation is needed, and he might be back for Fulham before the end of the season:

Wow totally different team than the one that showed up against Everton. Pace and tactics were so much better.davet010 wrote:Of course, Man U didn't need Tevez, not good enough for them.

Really enjoyed this match.
I guess we'll be looking for Berbatov and Robihno on the back of milk cartons?

Dempsey is clearly having his best EPL season, and I hope he regain his current form within a few months despite the ligament damage.

Good job we had so many of our reserves and kids playing. Nice to see that Fergie kept his promise to play their kids - boy that little number 7 looks like he has a cracking future beh...ahead of him.JRod wrote:Wow totally different team than the one that showed up against Everton. Just wish we'd kept attacking them and put a 3rd one in.

Debt's up to £716m.....secured on the assets of the club ??
Oh aye, they'd be valued at £700m plus....I don't think.

Article on Charlie Davies' "amazing" recovery from a car accident 4 months ago. He hopes to be back training with Sochaux by the end of February, and playing in April.

In other news, I found some recent highlight clips of Freddy Adu posted on bigsoccer with his new team in Greece, playing his customary role.

Even though he had a goal over the weekend, he's been a bust for City. The transfer is pretty much done I think, they just have to discuss over the length of the deal.dougb wrote:Robinho looking to leave Man City for Santos?
Doesn't sound like he's at all happy although based on his performances this season would it be much of a loss?
Best wishes,
Doug

1. Robinho was the 4th leading scorer in the Premiership last season. Hopefully we'll have a few more busts like that.
2. He was injured for 3 months this season (playing for Brazil) and is still not fully fit.
3. Santos have as much chance of affording a full transfer fee as I have. City don't need the money, so there will be no knockdown prices, and it would appear that not only can they not afford the fee, they cannot even afford his wages in a loan deal and are trying to drum up local sponsorship - maybe they can rent him out for kids parties and barmitzvahs.
4. Santos are trying to sweeten the deal with 17 yr old kids. That might work with Arsene Wenger, but these kids have no track record and about as much chance of getting a work permit as Bin Laden.

I was referring to this season. Still, I wouldn't want a guy around that earns an average of £2m a goal and more than £500,000 for every appearance. Santos doesn't have the money for a full transfer like you said, that's why City is asked to pay for half of his salary even for this loan. At least with his hiring, your team showed that they were serious for bigger things to come. It was just an expensive experiment.

The correct term for it is 'Fergie Added Time'. Still, with any luck the bastards will go into bankruptcy before the final.
I'll also be interested in the size of the fine levied for the crowd antics.
God, I hate them.

I forget Mr. Cook, who's going to Wembley?
