I just took them because they were a weak team. You can have the Blue Jackets and I will take the Thrashers.

About the only parameter right now is the number of games. I dunno what others there would be since I haven't messed with the league creation yet.

I think 30 games would be good. What do you all think?

I'm cool with whatever, but I'd personally vote for a shorter length league to start off because it raises the chances of us actually finishing it.

I agree with BA. I'd love to play a longer season, but I'd love even more for us to finish one.

How about 20 games?

Mo, here are the league setting choices:

# of teams
# of games per season: 10/18/26/34/42/58...etc
Max Number of days between games
# of playoff teams (the leagues are not broken down into divisions, just like NFL 2K5)
Trading On/Off
Minutes per Period
Difficulty Level
Playoff Series Length
Playoff Round Interval

My two cents.

Between an 18 and 34 game season sounds good. 34 is probably too long, so maybe 18 or 26 games. Time between games should be 3-4 days. Period length should be a little longer than the default...maybe 6 or even 7 minute periods. Playoffs should be either 3 or 5 game series.

teams in playoffs 16
playoff series length 3
playoff round interval 4 days

Sounds great. I'd prefer a 4 day interval with such a big league, but I'm down for whatever. I'm just ready to play.

If you go with a short interval like 3 days you might consider letting users have a couple "oops I forefit" before they are kicked out of the league. You know for when life gets in the way of gaming. I do prefer a shorter interval as I have been itching to get my next football game in.

Too bad they don't let you increase the numbe of games in a series as the playoffs progress. I think 3 game series are great for the first 3 rounds, but i wish the finals would be 5.

Also, i hope we can hold the start of the league until Tuesday the 14th at the earliest. I'm going on a mini vacation from Sunday to Tuesday.

Oh, and i sent you a friend invite Mobiggins, i'm LA Kings Fan.

We can set sliders can't we? If so, what should they be?

I dont think you can make slider adjustments. I could be wrong.

I am pretty sure once sliders are set up for the league, then they can't be changed.
The league admin can set up all slider adjustments at the set up screen.I would be up for making penalties a little longer.

As long as they can be changed by the admin i'm happy. I was pretty sure they finally allowed custom slider online but it wasn't mentioned in this thread so i got a little worried. I think we should knock the gamespeed down a few nothces.

If possible, we could bump the interval up to 4 days...it might give people a little more time to get games in (if 4 days is an option).

I'd like to join if there are any teams available or if anyone drops out. I've gotten into the game and love the way that ESPN handles it's leagues so it would be fun.

I'm not sure the period length would need increased. I think there is plenty of offense on the pro level with the 5-minute periods.

And, if there is trading, let me start by asking who needs a goalie (since the Wild are stacked there and nowhere else)?

Also, does anyone know of any upcoming roster updates (again, as the Wild, I'd dig having Brian Rolston on my top line).

You can have the Atlanta Thrashers then. I will drop out so you can be in with your Atlanta team.

If I follow hockey it's the Coyotes.
