For God's sake, somebody come into my house and delete this damn game! I can't stop playing. Finished the story a month ago and had no intention of playing on, but I've gone mad. Trying to max out all the companions, collecting all the bobbleheads, legendary weapons etc., plus kill all the enormous creatures and just generally wandering around the wasteland discovering areas that had previously been overlooked. Oh, then I went and bought a place in Diamond City, that requires materials for improvements etc.

This is a sad cry for help...

I purchased this game digitally when it launched and have yet to start it because of what you mention in your post. I want to play it, but I know once I start I won't stop. I need to clear other s*** out of the backlog first, but that'll never happen either. I'm sure it's a great game, but I'm worried now I wasted my money on it because I don't know if I'll ever start it. ugh

This is the exact reason why I didn't get the game. I didn't want to lose hours of my life :). I love Halo 5 MP or SWBF MP...get in for an hour or so, have fun, get out. F4 hit me as a game that would suck the ever living soul out of me.

just play it.

I've "beat" the main storyline and am now exploring the rest of the map. Probably 75% explored.

I finally picked it up and am as sucked in as I feared/hoped. The settlement building alone could have entertained me. This game also feels harder to me than Fallout 3 -- I resisted the urge to play on Hard and am glad I stuck to Normal.

The only thing so far is that my Charisma character is not unlocking much in the way of bonus dialog choices, but I did it for the Local Leader perk as well. Can't wait to forge a post-apocalyptic empire.
