Holy shot this demo is awesome.
I think I'll be buying this game now.
Didn't think anything could top the forza 6 demo.
Too bad I got to go back to work or I'd be playing this all day.
May the Schwartz be with you!

Re: Star Wars Battlefront
The graphics in this game, especially the lighting, set a new standard for the XB1. Insane.
Gameplay is best described as controlled chaos. Run and gun, but there seems to be better weapon stability than Battlefield 4, Destiny or a COD game. The map design is fantastic, as you can be attacked from so many areas. Tons of great defensive positions, too.
I'm not a Star Wars dude at all. Saw the first flick at age 12 in 1977 and never watched another. But this game is NUTSO. FUN as f*ck. Definitely leaning toward a purchase, and this game might cause me to watch more Star Wars flicks.
VERY impressed. Star Wars fans will blow a few bowl-sized loads of tapioca pudding in their shorts tonight when playing this game. If Battlefront doesn't become the next DSP Poker Night monster, than nothing probably will.

Well my download won't be done until very late tonight, tried to start it at work with smartglass but all that kept coming up was the full version of the game. Can't wait to play this!

well the guys downloaded it at the office and everyone is taking turns playing. Man this is so sweeeett this game. i dont like multi player but this is so much fun. how do you get on the ATs? How do you get to be other characters?
When you earn those customes or characters, it is very nostalgic. The way they display it reminds me of the star wars action figures we use to collect as kids.

I just saw you on Hoth with your son Luke. You were swinging around your slightsaber with me and a bunch of other guys trying to raid the rebel stronghold!
It was f3ck1ng awesome to see! I apologize that I killed your son but that s*** ass green lightsaber is no match for a Empirial Blaster.

Played it on the PC, downloading 92% on XB1 only taken 30 minutes so far for that.

Got to fly a tie fighter. Control those big metal camel things too. Very cool game. Wondering if it'll get old.
Added - I was luke and found vader. It was 1v1 battle. It was awesome.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront
I'm glad I got to play it on both, I'll stick with the PC. Visually I don't see a different at all but this game is so run and gun twitchy that after using the PC controls I felt like an Elephant stuck in quicksand on the XB1. I'm sure I would get used to it but it just felt better on the PC for me

Just played ps4 at home.
Tattoine single player looks unreal on ps4. Lighting is bit better than Xbox but it makes the rocks look real life.
hoth is even on both.
Ps4 native resolution a bit more clearer than Xbox.
Controller - Xbox. The r/l stick placement I prefer for this game on the Xbox controller.
Gameplay - was sluggish more on ps4 and more minor freezes. Xbl smooth no issues
Just like every other game graphics slightly better on ps4 but controls Xbox.

Finally got in a game of Drop Zone and played for about an hour. Pretty fun but this mode is a little too 'run and gun' for me. Still can't get over how pretty it is...and it's a beta.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront
This concerns me, too. The game is gorgeous. The sound is stunning. The weapon variety is fun. I really dig the power-ups on the battlefield. The air vehicles are far easier to fly than jets and choppers in Battlefield.Inuyasha wrote:Wondering if it'll get old.
But at its core, this is Battlefield Star Wars. The mechanics and execution use the same, familiar, dependable EA combat system. I know, I know: WYSIWYG. But this is my first Battlefront Star Wars game.
Star Wars fans will be sexually pleasured by this game. But it could get old for a non-Star Wars guy like me.
I need to research about the modes available in the full game. That ultimately will help me decide whether to buy this game or not. I also must factor in that I still get a lot of enjoyment from Battlefield 4, and Battlefield Hardline will be available for free in the EA Access Vault later this month. I also want to buy an iPhone 6S.
Decisions, decisions. But this is one hell of a quality beta. No doubt.

Of all the games out there soon, this is one where I feel pretty confidant I could sell on eBay 3 weeks later for about $4 less than I paid for it if I wasn't digging it. Gotta give it a shot!

It's 3:30 a.m., and I just finished playing for about another 2 1/2 hours. That's a good sign.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront
I played a few matches on PC--best looking game I've ever seen, runs flawlessly.
But gameplay is something I've seen or done way too much. Aim, shoot, control points (capture pods). Nothing really innovative there. I got tired of it after about two matches, which I wasn't expecting.
I see nothing to make me believe the hype train about this one, but I'm probably not who they're targeting. I'd much rather play a single player game than 100% multiplayer. I'm still playing Dragon Age a year after it released, and there are too many other great games coming for me to mess with Star Wars. Fallout 4 alone will probably suck away several years of my life, and that comes out a week before Battlefront.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront
After playing a ton of Walker Assault matches last night I really started enjoying the game. I really didn't like the other mode that was just too crazy, at least the Hoth Map felt like a battle. There is still the issue of over powered players, nothing sucks more then spawning and getting sniped in 30 seconds but that is in every game.
I really like the co-op survival mode that was a lot of fun as well. As with most games these days not really worth $60 but I had a blast with it last night. Killing Darth Vader at one point was a highlight. It was also really easy to create a party on the PC which is rare.
I'm in on the PC for sure.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront
Conducted an experiment today. Played both multiplayer modes of Star Wars Battlefront beta and then popped in Battlefield 4 for a Conquest multiplayer game.
I had just as much fun with the 2-year-old BF4. Maybe a smidge more.
Battlefront is moving closer to the edge of my radar screen as a purchase. Fun beta. Gorgeous game. Enthralling for Star Wars fans. But Terry is right: It doesn't really offer much new. It's Battlefield 4 without soldier classes, with less-interesting weapons and with a Star Wars theme.
I'll continue to research the multiplayer modes in the full game and see if there's something fresh. Otherwise, I'll probably stick with BF4 and BF: Hardline, both of which are free in the EA Access Vault.

Was not able to get into a single game over the entire weekend. On PS4. Must be something to do with Canadian internet.
Didn't get to play a single game online and just uninstalled it.

I had no troubles getting in on the One over the weekend, clicked to join and it instantly put me in with a full group. Even though I sucked really bad against the kiddies only getting 0 or 1 kills I am still looking forward to the full version.Macca00 wrote:Was not able to get into a single game over the entire weekend.
