No surprise the Hawks bating the Magic as Orlando within the last few days revamped their roster. I was hoping for a Miami win against Dallas but not making excuses for the Heat, they lost by one and played 7 games in 11 days, ouch. They looked tired and out of sync against the Wizards.

Did anyone else see the suit Walt "Clyde" Frazier wore last night during his duties as analyst for the MSG Network broadcast of Knicks-Spurs? I LOVE it -- the 70s, Richard Roundtree and "Shaft" live through that jive-ass motherf*cker!

Went to the clippers game today. It's a whole new vibe there in the Blake Griffin era. Every possession has people on the edge of their seats waiting for the next big play. Pretty great.

The Clippers are the only truly bad team in the NBA that I'll stop and watch, simply because of Griffin. Dude reminds me of Larry Nance with more talent. A huge dude who can jump into the rafters.

Absolutely! Watched the game. Clyde cracks me up. Not only the wardrobe, but his vernacular. Dude is pimpin' 70's style. He's beyond cool. I love him.

Clyde also wore rattlesnake skin boots with rattler heads lacquered into the toe last night with that suit. EPIC.

Lex...been a month since that last post and they now have 8 wins. Wanna just buy the game now? :)

It's sad when a Suns team struggles mightily to beat them...that's for sure and even then, it's mostly because the Cavs went cold and started taking some horrible shots in the 4th. Guess thats what bad teams do...Suns included, they just made a few more.

If they are still 5-10 games out of a playoff spot closer to the trade deadline (Feb. 24th), then I think it's a strong possibility that both he and Grant Hill are moved together to a place with a shot at a chip. They would do it FOR those two guys...you don't want to see guys in their late 30s toiling along on a bad team without any chance at a ring. So I think they really owe it to them to move them if things continue along the path of pathetic this year. The Suns are a bad team right now (have been all season) and I don't see it getting any better. Maybe they figure it out in a month, but I'm doubting it. If they don't...then Nash may be dealt, but as of now everyone is saying the right things about him NOT going anywhere.

Yeah, might as well. I can't believe they're this bad. You guys were right. :(

PM me what game you want and where to send it.

Griffin is a highlight film but he may be like Dominique, one who never wins a title.

Or even Stoudemire in his first year, when he broke out, they were counting up the dunks.

The rumor about trading Nash to the Knicks doesn't make sense. Felton is playing well there and would Nash accept being a backup? Most of the top contenders (not including the Knicks in that group) have good PG play (a reason why they're top contenders). Heat could use an upgrade at PG but LBJ and Wade handle the ball and create for themselves or others.

I'm just kidding man. We'll wait to see how it goes the rest of the season...see how close you can get. LOL.

Doesn't help Varejao is out for the year either.

You could say the same thing about LeBron, too. :)

Seriously, it's Griffin's first season and you're already ordaining him with a ringless career? That's a bit of a stretch.

Agreed 100 percent. I'd put Felton behind only Rose and Rondo among point guards in the East right now.

Yes, I'm watching and following the NBA a lot this season. Enjoying the hell out of it, especially watching the Knicks' games on MSG, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. :)

I wouldn't bet on Griffin being locked in as a Clipper his whole life (and thus never winning a championship). The Clips don't keep (pay) major contracts too often. People said that about Garnett when he was in Minnesota, & look how that turned out.

Agreed. Even if Griffin is one of those guys who never plays on a title-winning team in his prime, he could end up being a rental or traded to a contender as a role player late in his career and get the ring.

But honestly, I can't see this guy in a Clippers' uniform once he's available in free agency. It's not like the Clippers have any track record of building a strong franchise despite more lottery picks than someone who has rigged the Powerball drawing.

Yeah, I guess we should wait a while. They actually showed a little energy last night, Harris and Hickson played well. They looked better than most nights. But still, they're on pace to win 18.

Okay...that's enough. Pay me. LOL. 57 points in 4 quarters and lose by 55. Wow.

Still kidding...we can wait till the end of the season but just wow.

Some perspective: The Knicks scored 72 in the first half against the Spurs last week.

Yeah, we should have gone double-or-nothing on last night's game, you could have given me the Cavs +54.5 and still won. :D

Yikes.

ESPN NBA Trade Machine:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine

This thing is pretty fun. I can easily see losing 30 minutes to this sometime soon. :)

The trade machine rules. I've prob seen about 5 different "nash to lakers" setups from people using it over the last 3 weeks.
