I picked this one up last night and was blown away. I liked the demo but the demo barely touches all there is to do in this game. I drove 13 miles just to go check out the Dodge dealer to see if they had a Charger. 13 actual miles! I didn't realize the island was this friggin huge. The demo made it seem like there wasn't that many places to go. I was driving around in my Audi TT and some random guy challenged me to a race. I ended up winning the race too. There's just so much to do in this game. I'm going to have to catch up to you guys so I can join some sessions. It might have taken a while for the gameplay to match the graphics in this generation but games like Dead Rising, Saints Row, and now Test Drive: Unlimited have truly shown what is possible in games. What a great time to be a 360 owner.

Should we start to try to figure out what everyone is driving so we can have some races together? Right now I have an F class, an E class, and a wad of cash than enables me to buy one or two upper class rides if that is where we want to go. Should we all enlist in the G class camaro challenge? :)

Gurantsu, I sent you a friends request.

I stayed up till 1:30 in the morning for the second night in a row. Last night my mission was to unlock all the car dealerships and buy a motorcycle. Mission accomplished. Oh yea...the friends filter was working last night as well.

I have one more spot in my garage, and would buy a camaro if that is what we plan on doing. Currently have an F class, B class, and Ma motorcycle. Gonna have to buy another house soon I guess. Haven't even raced online yet and having a blast with the game.

Yeah... why is this this game so fun? I spent twenty-five minutes last night delivering a car without a scratch so I could afford the B-class car I wanted, but the dealership is located on the complete opposite side of the island, so I have a long haul in my F-class Audi ahead of me... and I'm looking forward to it. Very strange... driving games aren't usually my thing.

I do like the idea of a DSP Camaro brigade terrorizing the island of Oahu.

I have everything but an A class car. I even have an A and B motorcycle. My G is a Corvette, but it sucks. Is there a tuning shop for American cars?
Of course all of the multiplayer races that I have seen always have no restrictions and there are always a couple of guys with A class cars that blow everyone away strictly on horsepower alone. I wish some of these idiots would realize that an even playing field makes for a lot more fun. Of course if I create a race with E or F cars only, no one ever joins Go figure.

Me too! It made 2 hours seem like 15 minutes.

Since I've got a large rotation of games going right now (*tough* decision on what to play last night...ProStroke, TDU, or Madden PSP), I'd appreciate any input on what cars I should be buying to join you guys and the fastest way to get them.

This is my only major gripe with the game! And it is usually my gripe with all online driving games. Frustrates me to no end... :x

I'd be interested in doing the referral code thing with 2 people in order to get the free cars. If anybody is interested send me a pm and tell me what I have to do. I'm at work now but can send you my code when I get home.

Hopefully I can make some cash tonight so I can have something other than my Alfa Romeo F-class car.

Everyone seems to love the muscle cars--we could have some awesome 60s-style TransAm races with those things. No AMC Matador though :)

No rush... the cars haven't been made available yet, though the site claims that they should go live some time in the next couple days.

I don't think we have to be too hard-assed right now about car classes for some invite-only DSP racing; if there's a guy in the room who only has an F car, I have no problem racing F cars.

However, I would say, the Camaro SUCKS! I'll whip youse-all with my Firebird, turkeys!! lol If only I could get that gold paint job just right.

I would love to do some classic car racing; in fact, I'm sure the first class I buy all the cars in will be the classic class, assuming I can find them all available when I'm ready to buy. I still only have the Camaro, the Firebird, and the '69 Corvette (which I just love), but I really want to get that sweet-sounding Maseratti classic car, but the stats on that thing are really, really bad.

The one thing I wish is that one could create his own race courses for multiplayer racing, but there seem to be so many multiplayer races out on the island. Some are eliminations, some are sort of drag races, where you try to get the top average speed before the :30 timer runs out, and then there are the regular races.

And the next DSP challenge I do will no doubt be limited to classic cars. Heck, how about limited to the Camaro? That sounds good! I'll try to get one up for this weekend, assuming the Drive-ins are working.

Bah, I love my Jaguar E-type. Whenever there is a DSP poker night in this, I'm there.

Does anyone have any idea how to get into the Oahu Raceway? The entrance is gated off to me, yet there were other players tooling around in there. For that matter, how about a shop that upgrades Ferraris?

The referral code website is up. But it looks like only one of the 2 friends enters all the information in. You enter your name, email, and code and also your friends name, email, and code and then it will email you both a token for the cars.

Boom,
shoot me a pm with your name and email addy you want me to use and I will do it.

Guess I could put this in the XBL Marketplace thread, but sense it's game specific.

there is the launch pack which opens up two cars for purchase available for free download on the marketplace.

I don't know if any of you know about this, but you can change your Mustang GT to a Saleen in the US Muscle Tuner shop.

Rented this game last night. I still haven't had a chance to play it yet! Looking forward to checking it out this evening.

Can I jump right online or do I have to play offline for a bit to accumulate money and experience?

Okay, I downloaded all four of the new cars-the two freebies, and the two referral cars. Where the heck are they?!?!?!? They aren't in my garage, and there's no other way to get at them that I can see...

They're at the dealership...and at least in the McLaren's case, it ain't cheap, either. But I had a hell of a good time driving across the island to get to the dealership at least.

Where are you guys finding the auto transport missions? I don't see any of those on my map yet.
