Just wanted to say doing this is not easy. Doing a league where you let everyone in that wants to be in is unlikely to be successful. However, being a prick and not letting someone in that might play their games is no fun for me either. This league is going to be small(around 10 people) and prob around 7-8 games. Some of you will get a pm from me later today asking for an email to send you an invite to. I will post a link later so everyone else can follow things. Hopefuly this thing will work out and we can have another league after this one and add more people to it.

Well, I planned on capping the league at 10 but there were only 13 people(counting me) that still showed interest so I decided to increase it to 13. At first I had decided to drop out of the league to make room for one more and just be a commish. But one of the members thats helping out told me not to do that.

So all of you have a PM... or well 12 of you. Some of you have already responded. I need your email so I can send you an invite. Once I get all the invites out maybe we can get this thing underway tomorrow night(or maybe even tonight but I think thats pushing it).

Everyone has responded to my PM except one person so I will go ahead and open the league for sign ups.

Goto the site and login. Then click join league. The league name is DSP1 and the password is letmein.

Teams are on a first come first pick basis(once logged in). I will wait a bit before i login and pick my team to be fair.

General rules are as follows and are subject to change and suggestions.

1. Games will played unranked All American 6 minute quarters.
2. Home teams is responsible entering the score and box score.
3. The box score can be a small writeup and should contain the actual email box score from EA(make sure you have your email in your xbox live NCAA online settings so EA can send you an email).
4. There are no real gameplay rules except play like football which I am sure everyone here does. If you have a question if something is cheese or not, ask and the general consensus will be the rule.
5. Try to play at least a game a week. When you login and click on your leagues(after you join), the site will tell you whether you are ahead of the curve or not. If not, it will tell you that you need to play a game.
6. Defensive adjustments in the game can't be made until the offensive team is at the line. Try to hit A when you can on offense and give the D a chance to make adjustments.
7. The max points spread is 14, this means if you win by more than 14 points, no additional points will be awarded. So winning by 21 is the same as winning by 14.
8. If for some reason you have more road games than home, be thankful and not mad. You have a chance to get more points by playing/winning on the road. Likewise, you can get more points by playing with a lesser team. If two teams go undefeated, its likely the worst team will take the crown based on the algorithm used.

... I will post more if I think of anything.

Once everyone has joined, I will start the league and generate the schedule.

For those that are NOT in the league that want to monitor it, you can use this link. http://www.leagueportal.net/League_Home ... eague_ID=5

Good luck to everyone and please play your games.. I want to see to it that this league is sucessful.

Thanks,
BD

14 pts ain't nothin' in football, so I hope no one freaks out if more points are scored to ensure victory.

Algorithm? Points? Say what? I guess I need something explained to me. . .

I gather this is a ladder like the old Madden Power Rankings. Every game yields positive or negative points depending on the relative strength of the teams chosen, the players and the margin of victory.

The site has a ladder and a league manager. All will be more clear in time.

And zeppo you are prob right. I had though about 21 points but decided to go with 14.

And Ralley I actualy missed your confirmation... If you two are still interested, one person has dropped that confirmed do to taking a 3 week vacation. The first one of you two that PMs me your email address and signs up can take this spot.. if you are still interested. Anyways, hopefuly this won't be the only league.

I'm going to pass. I tried playing a few games again on the 360 version and I just don't like it enough to devote time to a league on it. I'm enjoying the Xbox version much more.

I would suggest in the future that when you do something like this again, that you consider the people that said they were going to play in until they say they are out. I thought when I signed up the first time that meant I was in...I didn't know I would have to sign up twice.

It's no big deal because I'm going on vacation in a few weeks and by the time I get back Madden will be out. I'd much rather get involved in a Madden league should someone put it together.

No, I will do it the way I did it. You lost interest as well as others. If I would have done it your way, you would be in a league that you have no interest in. This was not a sign up and you are in league. This was a sign up and can I be in league.

The site looks like poo in IE.. but then again, why would anyone want to use IE?

I think you were the last one. I will get the schedule generated.
