This and Backbreaker are going to be awfully tough to beat for sports game of the year, IMO...though both NBA2k and EA's NHL game will hopefully be right up there. I have not been playing a full season of the Show -- I've got a Cards season started but am only occasionally getting a game in here or there. I'll probably start playing every game on the schedule as we get closer to the pennant race. In the meantime, this game gets a 10 out of 10 from me.
Completely agree on the Show. Quite frankly imo, it's the best sports game I have ever played. I love it. 31-21 in my Angels season.

No way I could consider BB for game of the year. Too many holes, issues and lacking features, tech demo of the year maybe but not sports game, but that's another conversation.

The thing that makes The Show great is that I lose games!

Game is truly in a league of its own, but they need to liven up the presentation. A change in the broadcast commentary is definitely needed. Rex Hudler brings absolutely nothing to the broadcast. Also, there needs to be dynamic commentary similar to 2K10.

I turn Rex off at the start of every game, at least on the PS3 (where you can do it).

I like the Real-Time presentation quite a bit... sort of understated, but feels less canned than the traditional settings.

Here's a mode that I would love for The Show to implement. Not sure if it is possible though. Say you start a season and your team is tanking around the All-Star break. Most people would quit and not finish out the year. Ok, some of you are the minority! Anyways, to have the ability to simulate the game to the present day and set the standings as they are in real life. Then, allow the user the option to take over their favorite team.
